Influenced by R&B, soul, and hip hop, Badu rose to prominence in the late 1990s when her debut album Baduizm (1997), placed her at the forefront of the neo soul movement, earning her the nickname "Queen of Neo Soul" by music critics.

It is so incredibly amazing to be able to see this era of Erykah Badu performance. High quality footage and audio is rare and a real blessing that manifests delight decades later. I know there are more out there and wait eagerly. In the meantime, salute to you North Sea Jazz and Uptown Jazz for releasing this for all to enjoy!

Statenhal was in the Hague when The North Sea Jazz festival was next to the North Sea in Scheveningen The Hague from 1976-2006 then it moved to Ahoy Rotterdam. It was never the same I think. This hall is not existing anymore, there is now a building from interpol;) Great concert thanks!

Who ever is the front of house sound engineer salute to you and monitor engineer. The engineering is so good it’s as if he is an instrument in the band. This is an inspiring video. Badu is the queen of the eclectic black excellence “H.L.N.S”. I love music and being musical
