Thank you sir for making it clear... I have an question ... At 7:50 , you said that the 2,3 -Dichlorobutane is optically active...but this compound is meso compound... has plane of symmetry .. two chiral centre.. A meso compound can not be optically active ...Sir , tell this please.

2,3-Dichlorobutane has two chiral centers with one plane of symmetry. Therefore it gives 3 optical isomers. One is dextro, another is levo, both of these are optically active. Third one is meso which is optically inactive.
