this is the hypest moment in the entirety of Fairy Tail for me, her tone, even how she's standing and the OST, it's so damn hype, and Ars Magia is up there too. There's no reason to do more than 51 btw, but she's just going to prove a point, cause she's the fucking fairy queen. "Kore wa mou haya game ni naranai na, kyaku tai subete, watashi ga aite suru, chousen ken wa HYAKU DA!" - Erza Scarlet I never forgot this sentence all those years :D

The reason why Erza chose 100 monsters instead of 51 is because Cana was the 8th person. She fought all 100 monsters to give Cana a bigger chance of gaining a higher ranking(Cana got second btw).
