Design Corse and JetPrime teamed up to produce this pump. Since DC went out of biz fear not, JetPrime is the manufacturer. Great video, clean and simple.

Nice to see that your RPA-005 installed without any modifications . Mine did not and to get this to fit i had to drill out the hole's to be able to install both bolts, and i also had to file off some of the casing as it was in contact with my motor casing. Jet prime's customer service was garbage as they quoted "150% it's impossible for it not to fit, we have been producing and selling it for over 10 years" They blamed MV for making my motor casing different !

This is a great mod for the F4 platform, as the fairing design doesn't allow for much airflow around the engine. Things can get really toasty quickly 😄

Hi great vid. I got a 2012 f4rr. I was thinking of changing to samco silicone pipes and changing the water pump. I’m a complete novice at engines but feel I could tackle this little project. This video shows the install of the pump and you mentioned that refill was on previous vid. I must be going blind but can’t find. Can you give me date you made? I get all dismantle and rebuild just need help with refill and bleed. Do you have vid on install of the silicone pipes as well?

Hey brother I have F4 RR2013 and I left the bike ideal for long it got over heated and all the coolant came out from water pump front hose and it got off right away. Do you think it have caused any issue to bike?
@ESBKLife Жыл бұрын
Hey RJ. Sorry for the super late reply. It's hard to say if damages was caused. It doesn't take much heat to warp a head. However, it's been 6 months since you posted this question. I'm sure you've figured it out by now. Having said that, it doesn't take much to overheat an F4 with a stock water pump. Most of the time it just pukes coolant out of the overflow tank/hose. Which isn't a big deal as long as you can get moving quickly or turn the bike off quickly. In your case, it sounds like a hose blew off or at least ruptured.

Outstanding video. MV content is rare, so I really appreciate you doing such a great deep dive into this. I have a 2011 MV F4 (non-RR). I've experienced a similar journey to yours with my MV stalling in city traffic here in Vancouver, BC during summer riding. I've upgraded to Samco hoses and the JetPrime water pump you've installed. One thing I haven't done is adjusted the ECU to turn on the fan at a lower temperature (the same effect as the manual switch you have). From your experience, is turning on the manual fan in your situation necessary, or are the hoses and water pump enough? I would love to hear your thoughts. If I do bring in the bike's ECU for adjustment to lower the temperature at which the fan turns on, I might be tempted to do a decat (stock pipes as I love the design, just a decat) as well if I'm reprogramming the ECU already.... Your thoughts would be deeply appreciated. What would you do if you were in my predicament?
@ESBKLife4 жыл бұрын
Hey Peter. I love the practicality of the manual switch. There have been times when I'm riding and I can see traffic coming up. It's nice to preemptively switch on the fans beforehand. Having said that, with the hose and pump upgrade I have not had to use the switch.

@@ESBKLife Thanks for the super helpful reply. I think you just saved me a wack of cash on the ECU temp stuff then. Much appreciated. As an aside, I did a bunch of modest upgrades to my bike (lines, Brembo brake and clutch upgrade, etc.). Nothing crazy as I like the stock-ish look. My favourite upgrade is the Jet Prime switch replacement. The ergonomics are way better and it's super clean. You gave me some good info/ideas, so I'm hoping I can return the favour. www.jetprime.it/en/products/mv/switch-panel.html

Hi Derek sorry to ask how much coolant I’ve you put on the MV Agusta F4 mate?
@ESBKLife4 жыл бұрын
Hey Roberto. I don't recall the exact amount, I'll have to look that up. But, more importantly, you fill it until it's full. Meaning, you add coolant until it's just about to overflow the radiator cap. Then you bleed air out of the system then fill some more. Continue this process until you see no more air bubbles. Install the radiator cap then fill ther overflow tank to "BETWEEN" the min and Max lines. Don't add more than the max line. Doing so will cause your bike to puke coolant which usually ends up on your rear tire. That's a really bad combo for your health 😁

Hi Derek I am seriously considering to purchase a 2015 MV Agusta F4 RR ABS. One of the local used dealerships here in South africa have one & it seems like a good deal. I just have a few questions & would appreciate if you are able assist. Firstly the dash is obviously outdated & I would like to know if it would at all be possible to change to a newer version & if so what would be required? Second question is the complete tail of the bike, would it be possible to change to the brutale tail? I only started watching your videos recently but I've gone through quite a few of them over a short period. Really do like what you do.
@ESBKLife2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jermaine. Thx a bunch for your support. Ok, the dash. Yes you can replace it. There are several aftermarket units that will work. The Starlane Davinci is probably your best bet. As for the tail section. The Brutale is essentially a naked F4 so in theory the swap would work but I’ve never done it so can’t say for sure.
