I was looking for the chart describing the sequences of beeps and their associated setting. I think I need to change the timing on my Volantex RC 30 amp ESC, but I can't find the manual for this particular ESC. I know how to do the changes and all that, I just don't know what each set of beeps and noises means. Thanks for you help

Hi Ivan super helpful. I have however one doubt. When i get into any row of selection i see 4 pairs of tones. e.g. for brakes _* _* _* _* for lipo selection ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ If i want to select brake on or off after what beep should i lower the throttle stick? If i want to select Lipo v/s NImh, when the beeps move to the Lipo row, do i lower stick after all 4 ~~ are done or after third? Thanks in advance
@IvanBarb4
@IvanBarb4 11 жыл бұрын
You lower the throttle any time DURING the beep sequence...I do it roughly around the middle of the sequence...get a prog card sooo much easier. You can only activate a setting ONCE per cycle...If you want to turn something on, you have to go through the whole list of beeps until you get to the setting you want to change, then do the same if you want to turn it off.

***** Thanks. What do i do if i am not sure if the ESC is set for NIMH or Lipo. Should i just wait till the beeps reach the Lipo row and then turn the sticj down to select Lipo? I bought a FMSP51 and am not sure wht programing card works with it. Thinking of buying one anyway.Thanks again.

Hello my friend, I have bought an ESC for forward and reverse and brake. can i change him to go forward only? his proper programming card doesn't have this option unfortunately....is there anything that can be done to do this? thanks, if you can answer me..
@ivanb386
@ivanb386 8 ай бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean by FORWARD & REVERSE & BRAKE...that sounds like an esc for a remote-control car...I don't know about that...the esc that I know only rotate in one direction, unless you swap two of the three wires that go from the esc to the motor....I'm not sure what you mean.

Hi there, you've done a great video. I have a damaged ESC caused by falling drone. It is a pretty new model and i don't find the ESC as spare. If i buy another kind of ESC with appropriate parameters, do you think it will work with the other three together ? Do i need to programme it to work as the existing ones ? Thank you.
@ivanb386
@ivanb386 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Ionut, I imagine it would, however that depends on your esc, if they are basic esc, it should work, but response times may vary from one esc to another which could be a problem, the 3 might be quicker etc which could cause issues as the forth catches up....I cant say for certain, its just my take on it...visit some forums where people are experts on this type of stuff...lots of info.
@MrIonutz2008

If i replace all of them with 4 same brand and parameters do you think they should work the same ? I just found some of these ESC www.ebay.com/itm/162512472058?ul_noapp=true and i tought they will do the work but i don't know if they have the right Amps for my motors or if i should buy some 20 Amp ones. The problem is that i don't have anything written on my motors so i don't know what KV they are. My drone is a RC LEADING RC 136 model. Thank you for your response.
@IvanBarb4
@IvanBarb4 7 жыл бұрын
Hey Ionut, I have to say its been a very long time since I was involved with RC and a lot has changed, I have very little knowledge about multirotor, so I dont want to mislead you...I suggest that you try some RC forums, they have ways to work out your motor KV so you can purchase the correct esc...you dont want to burn out new esc if the motor draws too much amps....maybe you can post a photo of your motors in a forum and someone could tell you what it is.

No I'm pretty sure they do not as far as i know, you would need to get a brushed motor esc, which they have much like the RC cars use.

So I get a beep when I plug the esc into the programing board after connecting the battery, then when I plug the esc into my reciever and connect the battery I get nothing no beep, but my control surfaces work fine but I've got no power to the motor. ..???? Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

@ivanb386 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, I'm sorry its been years since I played with this stuff, other than the video, there's not much I can do....other than to suggest resetting the esc to default and trying again...it should beep according to the amount of lipo cells you have plugged in.
@michaelwhinnery164
@michaelwhinnery164 5 жыл бұрын
@@ivanb386 hay Ivan I appreciate your response, I'm pretty sure that I am the problem. I have tried 4 different esc's and not one of them has beeped anything like what i hear in videos I've watched. I have no idea how to program my transmitter. No idea how to reset an esc .and the main problem is that all of the local hobby shops are gone. the ".coms " put them out of business and there is no service dept worth shit from any of them. I'll probably just try and sell all this brand new stuff on craigslist.
@ivanb386
@ivanb386 5 жыл бұрын
@@michaelwhinnery164 as far as I know, every esc should be programmable (things may have changed) esc's should come with instructions on how to program....before doing so it really important that your transmitter is linked to your receiver as that is what communicates with the esc and the esc with the motor.....you want to make sure of that first, check by plugging in a servo into the receiver, move your sticks and see if the servo moves....if so you can move onto programming. when power is applied to esc and all is working you should hear beeps based on the number of cells your lipo has...thats a good sign, if you dont hear anything then there's no point trying to program the esc, as you need the beeps to know where your at. Check and make sure you TX and RX are comms correctly first.
@michaelwhinnery164
@michaelwhinnery164 5 жыл бұрын
@@ivanb386 ok... the reciever gets power through the esc i cant pair the reciever without pluging in the battery through the esc ???!!!
@ivanb386
@ivanb386 5 жыл бұрын
@@michaelwhinnery164 If Im not mistaken the receiver gets power through the throttle wire that comes from the esc....make sure that the wire is plugged into the throttle channel on the receiver and the motor is connected, then the battery.....Did you bind the TX to the RX, does your TX communicate with the RX? if not you'll need to do that first....if it is bound correctly, you should be able to continue.....also when plugging in the battery, the throttle should be all the way down/off....hopefully you hear the beeps....if the throttle is all the way up/on thats how you get into program mode.
