We forgot to mention price: the base price as of Oct 2024 is 40,499 USD, and using the configurator to build a similar trailer to the one in the video came in just over 50,000 USD. Premium pricing for sure but also a premium product! Let us know what you think of this unique BC built trailer!

We live in Michigan and have dragged our 2016 5.0 to all points west of Kansas for months at a time each summer and fall for each of the last 8 years. We tow with a ‘16 F150 and go as deep off road from Colorado to California mountains and desert as we safely can. This trailer takes it. Through all the rocking and crawling over rock, and many miles of washboard roads, everything works. We’ve updated to 200ah ah lithium power with 260 watts of solar and couldn’t be more pleased with the whole thing. We manage 2-21/2 weeks at a time without having to restock with food, water and propane. We carry 3- 20 pound cans of propane and 35 gallons of extra water. The 5.0 has 30 gallon fresh, grey and black tanks on board. If you require a lazy boy or a couch, you won’t want of these and you’ll probably never see us in our natural habitat! Happytrails!

We've had an Escape 19 footer since 2020 and love it! We travel from Florida to Montana as well as to North Carolina on long trips and feel like it is just the perfect camper. We do have an air conditioner and use it a LOT!

We tow it with a manual transmission Toyota Tacoma. It did struggle a little on one trip with high mountain passes but we also had the fresh water tank completely full.

Thanks for these reviews. I have watched this one and the one you did on the Casita and the Scamp. I am towing with a Pilot AWD which has a 5k tow capacity. I know it can tow both, but worried about towing with the 19, since its GVWR is 4400, close to the 5K, but I am worried that the 17 bed will be too small for me and my wife. I have seen both sizes but they were both old, 2012 and 2010. They were both in amazing condition, which is one reason I am really interested in the Escape. I am also seriously looking into Casita, but Escape is currently #1.
@DayHikerFromTheSix2 ай бұрын
It’s always a good idea to be mindful of your tow capacity and understand how much cargo will be in the trailer. Escape, Scamp and Casita are all great, reliable trailers. It's always a good idea to see them in person and try them out, if possible. We wish you good luck with your search! Thanks for watching !

What is he towing this with? I love the size but feel a 1/2 ton v8 would be the best option for towing in and around the rocky mtns.

Is this a four season trailer? Does it have a furnace (electric / propane)? Is there insulation in the walls? Are the tanks insulated? How much extra for A/C? What is the total gross weight? How much extra weight can it carry? Are there any provisions for a TV? How does it compare to an Oliver? This seems like a very nice trailer.
@DayHikerFromTheSix2 ай бұрын
It’s a three season trailer, but you can order spray foam insulation for the tanks and underside and tank heaters to extend things a bit. It has a furnace…I believe it’s propane. I’m not sure about insulation, but I can tell you that Escape does not claim to be a four season camper. You can get the current price for AC on the Escape website using the configurator. GVWR and dry weight are in the video, and if you do a build using the configurator, it will give you the weight of the trailer with the options you picked. TV prep is an option but strangely I don’t see the TV itself in the configurator. Definitely encourage you to try out the configurator…it’ll answer a lot of your questions! I have not seen an Oliver in person yet so can’t comment on how they compare. Thanks for watching!

Does not appear there is insulation between outside storage and bed or dinette?
@DayHikerFromTheSix3 ай бұрын
When I say ‘outside storage’ it’s actually inside the trailer envelope but accessible from the outside. This is the way almost RV’s are set up. Only the tongue box is truly outside the trailer envelope. Thanks for watching!

My concerns are # 1 does the fiberglass off gas ? # 2 not a fan of the service option and last but least not a fan of East/West beds..otherwise its a very attractive trailer 😂😂.
@DayHikerFromTheSix3 ай бұрын
The three trailers we reviewed on this day did not have an off-gassing smell, I don’t know if one just built would or not. I agree on the bed…Escape does have North/South floorplans however. Thanks for watching!
@stevez3403 ай бұрын
It would be awesome if they offered a sofa “option” along the front wall for the 1950’s diner booth dinette, for couples who really appreciate a comfortable residential seating area for rainy days, and at night if a spouse goes to bed before you do🫤
@DayHikerFromTheSix3 ай бұрын
That would be a great idea! Thanks for watching!
@paulcatarino22092 ай бұрын
Suffers from the same problem as every other trailer, east/west or side to side beds should not be a thing. Design these with a walk around bed or single beds with a center aisle.
@DayHikerFromTheSix2 ай бұрын
Escape does offer floorplans with the north/south beds. Thanks for watching!
@paulcatarino22092 ай бұрын
@@DayHikerFromTheSix Thanks and yes I see that they do, but I was making the comment for the size of trailer (19'). Other brands seem to be able to have a north/south on a smaller foot print (with some compromises), the Tab360, Rockwood Geo Pro G15TB, Casita Independence etc. I would rather support a local/national brand then have to shop across the border, but only if the design/functionality is correct.
