There is no greater dream for an imprisoned dragon than breaking its chains, spreads its giant wings and escape. Potteriane dragons are neutral beasts, who are mistreated by wizards for their own profits such as: -entertaiment -watchdog -other things We have seen a Horntail being tortured by being tricked and enraged in Part 4. @jinpachibobochan35323 жыл бұрын
@@milychiby5708 Nah, I think they blinded it on purpose, making it more docile, and then tortured it while playing that bell thingy. Now, the dragon will automatically cower whenever it hears the bell thingy. Also, I guess they kept it chained ever since birth. The dragon was most likely able to free itself, but it couldn't as a young one, so the psychological 'chain' is still here. This was how people in the old days made elephants and so on docile. Put it in chains from young on and it will learn that it can never break them, even as an adult, the elegant could easily break the chain, but it won't. And then comes torture, etc.

This is a great scene, but it's completely out of character for the trio. In the Books, Harry thought of using the dragon, whereas here, Hermione does. It makes more sense in the Books. Harry's greatest talent is in flying; he feels more comfortable flying that doing anything else, whereas Hermione is terrified of flying. Harry's also had direct interaction with dragons before, so he'd be less afraid of jumping on the back of one.

Another reason why I'll always prefer the books to the films! :-) I watch the Harry Potter films constantly saying, 'that's not how it was!' The actors are great and they did a great job so young, but the story was conveyed better in the books. Perhaps inevitably?

Plus, Hermione usually plans ahead and sticks to it. Harry’s a little more of a procrastinator but comes up with crazy ideas on the whim. He works a little better under pressure and is more likely to come up with a totally insane, life-threatening, last-minute idea like riding on the back of a dragon than Hermione. He’s always had a knack for trying his luck 😂

Tidela 471 we confuse being brave with being a quick thinker. Hermoine is brave but it is Harry who is the quick thinker. You know why the trinity works is because they each have a unique talent that contributes to the whole. Also Harry isn’t an empty chosen one, he just doesn’t survive based on luck his ability to thrive on death situations is why he kept outwitting Voldemort. Taking away Harry agency to have a feminist moment was not needed, hermoine is very special as who she is.

I prefer this scene in the books. It’s more in character for coming up with this idea. Harry is really intelligent (which some people apparently seems to not understand) and this is one of the moments when Harry’s high intelligence shows. Hermione is even more intelligent, but she has a hard time thinking outside of the box. Harry is also a good flyer and it just makes sense that flying was what came to his mind in this pressed moment.
@James-gc5if4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, plus Harry had to think on his feet to get himself and friends out of life-threatening situations multiple times in every book/film, whereas Hermione frequently panicked or stopped thinking rationally at the critical moment (the troll in the dungeon, Nagini in the attic). Hermione needs time to make a plan - and when she has time to make one, it's always brilliant, efficient and unlikely to end in everyone dying - but she's not good at acting spontaneously. Recklessly jumping on a dragon that is more likely to breathe fire on you or throw you off its back when you're 10,000 feet in the air than it is to let you ride it to safety, is definitely more of a Harry plan than a Hermione plan.

This was one example of her not being able to think straight in dangerous situations. In first year during the devil snare moment she panicked and forgot that she was a witch and there are so many more moments that shows that Hermione crumbles like a paper in difficult situations most of the time. This scene didn't felt right because in the book Hermione was terrified of flying and was crying while riding the dragon. The one who comes up with ideas in dangerous situations is Harry but the movies only show that everything is done by Hermione only which is wrong. I think it sucks that they didn’t include the fact that the goblets and gold that were multiplying actually burned them to the touch. It would’ve made for a way for intense scene.

Love how Hermione's quite a badass when she jumps on the dragon and sets it free. She sure soon got over being tortured by Bellatrix which wasn't long before this.

Notice how the supposedly safest place in the world (gringotts & Hogwarts) are repeatedly broken in and out by these specific three teenagers like it’s either they have talents in breaking into places or these place are just not THAT safe. Also, if it’s the first, would love an alternate universe of the. trio as bank robbers aka money heist
@stevenlovejoy6838 Жыл бұрын
Daenerys Targaryen never used her dragon to escape from a bank heist. That's why Hermione remains superior

So cool how in the first movie/book gringgotss is this mysterious awesome place rumored to be protected by a dragon and by the last one they rob it and use the fabled dragon to roast the bank guards, destroy the bank, and fly it out like a boss

Idc about whose idea it was to take the dragon I just felt so bad for him being tortured and locked away for most of his life☹️ the way he breathed when he came out, the blood around the chains, the way flying was difficult at first just too much pain
