i have ryzen 5 5600 16gb ram 3000mhz and the small problem the rx 570 8gb vram without fsr at all i had around 60 fps but sometimes it had fps drops with fsr 2.2 on balanced i was playing around 90+ steady fps depends on the map and the location my question is what settings should i have for tarkov for the pc i am having? everything on low and fsr 2.2 on balanced ? (an upgrade will happen in the future on the gpu and ram but for now to be able to play)

I would copy the settings from this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXLMn6Bul8eSiNUsi=gUz3wokh7Etb19OM and see how it run(I used DLSS put you can use FSR of course). some notes on some settings: -Texture quality: this setting on HIGH will eat up allot of VRAM. -Shadows quality: If you have GPU resources left over turn this up(doesn't use as much VRAM compared to Texture settings). -Object LOD quality: CPU intensive so lower = better (2.5 is good if you feel like objects are not rendering in close enough). -Overall visibility: CPU intensive, same logic like LOD but this will/can use more GPU recources aswell the higher you go. -HBAO: CPU intensive so lower = better. -SSR: is more GPU heavy and gives you those nice water refextions, if you have GPU resources left turn this up. As a general rule: Anything that puts more stuff on the screen hits both CPU and GPU. LOD/draw distance, particles etc. Anything that makes stuff look nicer is primarily GPU. Resolution, AA, texture quality/filtering, shader quality, lighting quality etc. (This will depend on the game you play as well!) If you plan to upgrade anything, upgrade your CPU/RAM before your GPU. If your motherboard supports it, a 5800x3d will give you way more performance than upgrading your GPU. This upgrade recommendation is for tarkov but if you play GPU heavy games outside of tarkov than a GPU upgrade first makes more sense.

@@wildgg first of all thanks a lot for the time to reply! I have 2 questions on the video you sent me your pc is using less ram than mine in total mine sometimes goes to like 90% use of the 16gb i have no background apps running only discord and all of the ram goes for tarkov for example 9gb ram for tarkov or even more sometimes! is it normal? the second question is sharpness should i put 0.9 for a specific reason or its personal preference? i am asking because every video i see everyone uses something different and i dont undrestand why

@@ΔημητρηςΣτ-ν8σ No problem at all! 1. Yes it's normal for Tarkov, it is very CPU/RAM hungry. Are you using the ingame setting "automatic RAM cleaner"? this is very recommended if you 'only' have 16gb of RAM, Tarkov realistically works best with 32GB of RAM. Another thing you can do/try is increase the Virtual Memory (pagefile), for some this helps for some it doesn't, I only suggest doing this if you have an SSD: i.imgur.com/3g5eHLI.png . 2. This is 100% personal preference!, This setting is very depended on personal preference, what monitor you have and for me I use DLSS which makes the game slightly blurry so I use 0.9 to make the imagine more sharp. As a side note on sharpness and PostFX, if you're using PostFX stay away from 'Clarity' and 'Adaptive sharpen', these tend to increase GPU usage when you realistally don't need them. I would use the 'Sharpness' setting in the main settings tab or 'Luma sharpen' in the PostFx settings.

@@wildgghbao should not be CPU intensive, it’s implemented entirely in the shader.

hello i got actual questions first thing with fsr 1 you can use taa with fsr 2.2 you cant whats better? another thing iirc fsr working on any gpu for both versions? and fsr better then dlss? fsr mainly used for fps increase or there some other purpose? cos i was testing different settings with all maxed on streets of tarkov map and first of all i got that fsr1 looks better and have less glitches and that i dont have really huge difference in performace comparing to native one so should i even turn it on? setting in game all maxed 2k res 7900xt with 7800x3d

Hello! .1 Personally I'd pick FSR 2.2 over FSR1.0 with TAA. FSR 2.2 quality gives an overall better imagine. .2 FSR works both on AMD and NVIDIA (FSR is supported on both but won't work on older cards, check the AMD site for the FSR GPU support list!). .3 I think FSR 2.2 and DLSS on their highest presets are VERY close in imagine quality, but I use DLSS over FSR because 2 reasons, 1. FSR uses to much sharpening. 2. DLSS seems to be a bit better in recognizing objects. but both are very good options. .4 FSR and DLSS Are mainly used to increase FPS(biggest FPS gains are made when your GPU is running at 100% usage), other than an FPS increase you will also lower your GPU usage, so you save GPU resources you can use for other tasks and you save some power(watts) which can result in a lower power bill. Like I mentioned above, if your GPU isn't running close to 100% usage you won't see an increase of FPS, If your GPU maxes out at 70% I don't recommend using FSR or DLSS. We also have to remember that this game is CPU/RAM intensive therefor using FSR/DLSS is most "beneficial" on lower tier cards.

Hey! Like DLSS, FSR is rendering the game at a lower resolution, lower resolution will mean your GPU usage will go down, if your GPU was running at max usage before using FSR than this will be a good thing and you should see a performance boost. (note: there's 2 common ways GPU usage will go down. 1.lower resolution. 2.Lower graphics settings.) Because the resolution gets lowered the game becomes even more CPU bound, Tarkov is already CPU/RAM bound so if you have a good CPU and fast RAM you should see good performance numbers.
