Samuel, I will say this for the record and in full transparency for my own selfish desires, WE NEED MORE OF THIS!!! I've been following you for a few years now and I must say this is by far the BEST work you've shared with your KZbin audience. This is grown man shit. Like you, I love street photography but this is mature film making and storytelling. It reminds me very much of the content I've been seeing on the Art and Adventure channel. It just so happens he shoots with the Leica Q2 and the Leica M6. You can't make this a "one and done" video sir. You just showed the world a glimpse of your abilities as a photographer and filmmaker. I loved every minute of it and I watched it twice. Great job! Great job!
@Stockezy4 жыл бұрын
Sam, you absolutely killed this! Such inspiring work. Its incredibly refreshing to see a photographer working on KZbin instead of talking about the work. We could do with more videos of the journey. Pure and artistic. Loved it!

Just watched your photographic journey with the Leica and Sony cameras and I only have one word to describe your black and white images. Simply stunning. By far your best work in my opinion. I can now see what all the fuss is about with Leica cameras and lens.

Good job Samuel, that fisherman segment was really relaxing and gave a different perspective on life during Corona.

Glad to hear that Peter! I was hoping to meet more locals but time was short unfortunately. But happy it worked out with the fisherman!

I love this new direction you have taken. An insight into normal people's lives and the deeper aspects of nature and timelessness. Street photography is fine but ultimately shallow. I very much enjoyed this different path.

All I can say is, I just loved this video. It was so atmospheric as well as interesting when you talked to the fisherman. The last part with the brooding mountains and wind howling made me shiver which says a lot as I am in summer in Australia. Great job !

I’ve watched your videos for some time felt as though you featured others rather than yourself so upon watching this last piece I believe you’ve made a tremendous breakthrough! Video excellent, stills absolutely stunning and so I became a subscriber. Keep on this path. I’m a Leica shooter and have been since 2013 will never switch. Equipment DOES matter regardless of what anyone says but using these tools in the way you did was magnificent so I cheer you my friend! Keep this idea of doing projects as a template not sure you can beat the work you did here, if you do I’ll be looking forward to your next. Pro level work! Just well done, be proud of this! Gratz!

This is one of my favorites from 2020 i must say! I just wish it was an hour long :) The last 2 minutes in the film are idyllic, the culmination of a great pace you put in the narrative for this short story, combined with amazing photos! I have been twice to Bavaria (Munich) and both times came back with the sensation that it is very similar to Northern Portugal, both the nature, the urban style, the people... Munich reminds me so much of oPorto. Keep them coming! And that Leica M... Looks like it must be better than nice! :D

First of all: It is very nice :D haha. Yes, south germany and the alps are very beautiful! Interesting to hear it feels similar to Northern Portugal :) One day I would love to visit Portugal. Thank you for your comment!

Wahnsinnig gutes Video! Schreib seltenst was aber echt - mega geflasht. Dabei hattest du dich ja quasi schon verabschiedet aus diesem naja fällt mir nix mehr zu ein - Jahr... Hey - mega geiles Teil wollte ich eigentlich nur sagen!!! Big ups aus St. Pauli 👍🏻
