Gorgeous places! My in-laws bought a small town house which suited their busy careers perfectly. Enough space for small parties. The reason they bought the place was the yard. Others in the surrounding area were postage stamps size. Their yard alone allowed for a tent to entertain over 100 hundred. Each year they rented a tent for a long weekend. My wedding was Friday, her work on Saturday and his on Sunday. The same catering company came all three days to set up, serve and clean-up. By noon on Monday it was gone. My wedding flowers were used for the 3 days quite successfully.

Alistair is the most charming host. I loved property number 2, the driveway was gorgeous with the trees on both sides.

Alistair is awsome, it is just a pleasure to watch any episode when he is presenting. To be honest I only watch these episodes where Alistair, Nikki or Julian presenting, the others I just skip. Even though I love all that beauty of the country side and amazing houses on offer, but at the and of a day, presenter makes it all..

Alistair:These people are a Realtor's nightmare. Looking for three years at hundreds of houses???.... They are NEVER going to move.

@z just one problem, anything that isn't a 900 square foot flat, they see as and "estate." An estate here would have at least 40 acres and a house of 10,000 square feet sitting on it. Otherwise it's just another house.

What year was this? I'm a huge fan of this show but have never seen Alistair clean shaven. I doubt this show is still around in 2021, but it helps all of us to "escape" when we watch it. Thank you "The Power" for these uploads. It really means a lot!

@@farishwaywithwords I'm starting to think it is. If you search for ETTC here on YT, you might find shows more current. Don't go by the upload date of the video, but more when they give the price of the first home and in parenthesis, will show the year.

Oh Alistair! If only God could make several of you, so gorgeous, so even & balanced. Wish there could be more of you in the world. Oh right, the show.... I liked #1 most, some lucky duck realized it's potential and jumped into action. Cheers to them!

Nice couple and beautiful properties. They have two large dogs and plans to grow veggies. Why would he show them a house with NO backyard? Oh well....carry on!
@kristinebailey28044 жыл бұрын
Because he is a realtor that didn't listen. Fired two like that. If your client tells you they have to have a yard, garage, etc it's a deal breaker when there isn't one....... they MEAN IT.

ive noticed in these shows they always look at a room with only three sides , that would be hard to add a doorway to, and say oh that would make a great study! they have a severe misunderstanding of what a study is if that's what they think! you need privacy and quiet which you will not get with a room with only three walls! unless it is triangle shaped and ends in a door! lol

@@tribequest9 Your bias is showing. I know many people of my mum's generation who cut their own lawn, do their own housework and gardening and have hobbies well into their 80s. My neighbour just passed away at 93 and she was still in her own home. People should have the option of living the way they choose for as long as they wish and selling up if/when the time comes to do otherwise. Imagine if everyone decided to just constantly err on the side of caution for what "might" occur in 20 years! It would be such a waste for 20 years of your life. Live the way you want, throw caution to the wind and deal with what comes along when and if it comes along.

I am 76 and had one knee replacement last year and another planned for June of this year. I mow approximately two acres and until 3 years ago I did it with a push mower. I have a medium size garden and live alone. I take care of the house cleaning and the outside work as well including cleaning out the gutters. I have a two story house. Everyone ages differently and have different needs. Don't project your own feelings on others.
@kristinebailey28044 жыл бұрын
@@tribequest9 Pffft We are 60 and 62 and just bought a two story house, actually more like 3 because it's a tri level. Why? Because all stairways are carpeted, it means a walk out basement all finished with lots of light, heat rises so the 3000 square feet will be be cheaper to heat.... add to that my grandmother lived to be 99 on my mothers side and 88 on my fathers side. And this being our 10th home purchase we know what we are doing. We may decide to sell in 15 or more years but for now who cares? We are still cycling, own and use kayaks.... hike trails.... you have no clue.
