Escaped cartel gun maker, Washington rape suspect found in tent 100 yards from Nevada prison

Authorities say Andrew Kristovich escaped an Oregon prison, traveled to an acquaintance's house in Clark County, Washington, where he allegedly assaulted and raped her before fleeing with her debit card, cellphone and car.
The survivor told FOX 13 that the attack lasted two and a half hours, and she passed out several times due to him strangling her.
A few weeks later, Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong told FOX 13 that Kristovich was staying in a tent on a property only 100 yards from a prison.
Kristovich was armed with an AR and five magazines, but surrendered when he saw his tent surrounded by deputies. He told deputies that he drove a stolen car to Nevada, but authorities have not located it.

huh? a) she didn't know it was an "escape" he was "tricking"( demanding under threat & duress) her into aiding & b) I'm not really sure how you think calling the police would help, you do realize that police literally cannot do anything UNTIL an actual crime is committed right? EVEN if she had the threats recorded( which is unlikely given the circumstance) the police literally can't do anything about it unless he actually starts to enact those threats, at best its grounds for her to get a retraining order approved in court, that's about it. You might think "well the police could watch her house" or something, which almost certainly wouldn't happen( just watch any episode of "obsession" [on ID investigation discovery channel, obession:dark desire, watch it, then think how most people understand their options in these cases]) but let's pretend they do, he would just wait until the police stop posting watch, they surely won't stay forever... again, the police are powerless until a crime has actually been committed or is in progress or being attempted. And of course him escaping IS a crime, but again, she is UNAWARE that he is escaping versus legally being released so that can't factor into the assessment. It's very common, & yes even often reasonable although of course risky, for women in the kind of abusive situations to feel like sometimes the safer option is just to do what this individual wants keep them calm otherwise it will make them more enraged& make the situation worse & put her far more at risk..& sometimes that actually IS the case, other times it's a mistake. In this case, merely asking for a ride might easily seem like something very simple to avoid an irate unstable person coming to follow through with his threats, it woukd be easy to justify "OK just do this get it over with & he'll leave you alone be done with it", so I dont know what you're insinuating exactly but stop blaming the victim & assuming you're hindsight assessment of something you have no connection to is the assessment that others - in the moment without the gift of hindsight & with an actual dog in the fight & a complex connections& emotions & so on to the person & situation with alot of considerations to make on each end, a complex calculation of weighting the risks vs benefits pros & cons etc- should would or even could make

When you car is stolen they don't just give it back to you. It's towed to a impound lot. And someone has to pay them for their storage and tow fees. Every day it sits it gets outrageous to the point depending on how old the car is it's cheaper to get another. But they hope for that so they can auction it off. You can sue for the money, but you'll never get it. When your car gets stolen it cost you money to get it back. It happened to my ex wife. The cops may find it, but it's getting towed to the impound lot they use. And it's not getting released until you pay the storage fees. And if it's a long ways away. It may take a couple or few days to contact you or get in touch with you. Thats easily hundreds of dollars already. Then they arnt open 24/7. And in her case she had to be driven over there to pick it up or pay there fees and have it towed back. Your looking at $100-$150 a day plus the initial tow fee

I understand people that have never dealt with someone like him not understanding that If she didn't pick him up like he demanded he would have had someone he knew that was in the free world go find and severely hurt or kill her and her kids for disobeying him. Men that define and consider women as their property have no limit to what they will say and do to get exactly what they want. Thank God her neighbors spooked him when the banged on the wall cause he wouldn't have left for vs while and most likely would have ended up taking her life and if the children were old enough in his mind to identify him he would have taken their lives as well. People can not understand dealing with a person like this without first hand experience so please stop blaming and judging her for what he's done because Unless you have lived threw that kind of violence, terror, and being deathly terrified for you and your kids lives every second you have no right to judge her for he actions because its never as easy as people say "just call the police" if she had done that he would have killed her before she could even dial 911 let alone get a chance to tell 911 the situation because there is no way they could have gotten to get and her kids fast enough.
