Man, the main difference in your method of getting pigs back in and mine is that you don’t panic nearly as much. Nicely done.

😆. Thanks. This girl has been with us a long time. She’s pretty good at following a bucket.

You must be doin something right! You’ve got them pigs walkin from the pasture straight into the freezer, doesn’t get any more efficient then that! 😂

She wants to follow that feed bucket…but keeps getting distracted by so much luscious looking greens along the way.

You're mowing at the best time. The weeds have spent their energy and haven't dropped seeds.👌

My old girl did this as well! She decided the fence was not an obstacle anymore and just busted through and went visiting all my neighbors. I think she wanted to get away from the kids for a bit but they just followed her out too! Most of the neighbors are ok with them, they love them and just call me to let me know they are out. Mama is out exploring is all. Thanks for sharing! Hope all is well Chuck and Saundra!

Good luck with that thistle. We had a small farm with lots of it. Dad's solution was his two teenage sons and mattocks. Lol

Thistle being a perenial that will grow back every year and they will spread by seed and root regeneration, of course mowing it will help, although letting your pigs in there, they will eat both the leaves and dig up the roots to eat as well.

Love what you guys do! Yes! That is a beautiful spot for sure. Mow/clip the thistle and all "weeds" before they seed out. Some other time you can come back with a maddock (My job as a kid growing up on the farm!) and grub out the roots or if someone around has goats who can remedy that weedy patch? Maybe there's a kid nearby looking for a job who wants to do grub work? The answer is always "no", if you don't ask, maybe. I mowed a yellow jacket ground nest and got stung in the whistle britches! 🤣🤣

You gotta keep hydrated. I used to drink gatorade back in the late 90s when I was losing weight, but I don't think they had any sugarfree kind then. Now, I cool off with my Crystal Light Peach Mango Green Tea with lots of ice in my Yeti tumbler, and it's great. This heat is really something this year (even though I've seen it hotter in years past) my car window busted into a million pieces all by itself, I think from the heat.

A way to spray weeds naturally is a mixture of salt and vinegar

Have you considered a few goats? They could offer good weed control and provide some speciality meat foe ethnic and religious groups. A negative of goats is they are escape artist .
