Love your farm! When we were living in Colorado, we had a small farm. When it rained a lot , or the snow would melt. We would have the most sloppy wet clay mess; It was terrible when the kids were out, because I would then have PILES of laundry. It took a while, but we finally got it sorted out.

Lol ! I LOVE Shetlands, smart little guys! My friends and I would ride their Shetlands after school. Our favorite thing was to ride them INTO our school, up and down the halls, into the classrooms. 🥰. Until we got caught by Mr. MacDonald, the custodian. My pony, Bay Gold, pooped on the floor when he caught us, and he called our Mothers ...

I didn't realize that horses stress so much about new places. It's good to see her settle down after the walk. A black pony loose at night is frightening. Good thing the dog stayed with her and she was recovered. I learn so much watching your videos. Blessings for you and the horses !

Yes that’s one thing about horses to keep in mind is because they are prey/flight animals new situations and/or places can make them nervous and unsure sometimes. That’s why whenever they’re in an unfamiliar place they’ve never been to prior they can be a bit wary and tense until they know it’s safe and they can relax. Geertje and Ginny are still learning as their training only began a few months ago but both Myrthe and Yvonne are amazing horsewomen and Yvonne has known both from the time they were newborns and vice versa so there’s a lot of trust between them Geertje knows Yvonne will keep her safe;gradually as both girls get more experience to different things they’ll become as seasoned as Uniek and Reintje it will be awesome to continue to see their progress as they develop more skills.❤️❤️

Yvonne's, there always seems to be something that connects people. When, I was young, I lived out in the country my friends had boarding stable about 75 horses. I went there every day to help with those horses my favorite job was cleaning the Stalls and then taking care of the horses, of course the labor wasn't free, I got to ride my pic of horses. Of course on my 12th birthday my grandmother bought me my own horse. However, I still went to the stables and helped, I'd put my horse in a paddock and us girls would clean the Stalls just so, we could go riding together. At 57, I would still say cleaning stalls will always be my favorite job in life and I've never ment a mean horse.

Her stable is at her house? Do you know if she will eventually build more stalls there? It's huge! The only thing is that where Glendy and Daisy go out doesn't look very grassy. Not just in this video but also in another one when it wasn't this wet.

@@kimberlyearly8918yes, her stable is at her house...she does have some areas that have quite a bit of grass at her farm, but those areas do not appear to be fenced so having them graze on those areas is not easy....I do not know what her plans are for the future , but having built a stable I know it can be a process that can be expensive

Wow what a fantastic equestrian center Geertje and Ginny are both beautiful mares who have learned so much what a dream it would be to sit astride such amazing steeds. Geertje was a bit unsure about the new place but shes still willing to follow you to do as you ask it’s obvious that she trusts you Yvonne and that goes a long way Geertje knows that she’s safe with her rider and fellow herd members. That’s why it’s so important to build relationships with them early on from trust love and respect if this is the foundation an animal will do anything for you even when they’re nervous and Yvonne and the G team have this beyond mastered its lovely to see. It’s always a pleasure to see the mini Houdin’s and having some fun at Stal H as always Yvonne thank you for all your videos you are the best.💖💖🐎🐎🥰🥰

Yvonne, like so many young girls, we had childhoods somewhat alike. My Mother told me I was about 3 yrs. old when she noticed I was drawn to horses~ and I grew to love them more than anything. I learned to read at age 4 so I could read "Misty of Chincoteague" for myself, and if I had a chance to pet a horse I'd refuse to wash it's wonderful fragrance off for as long as possible...what a pain for my dear Mom! Pony rides were Heaven. There were no riding lessons available. So I read whatever I could about them, and dream. When I was about 8 I found 2 horses in a field on a big farm about a mile from our home. I'd take them carrots and apples. No one ever seemed to care for them, so I started brushing them (with my hairbrush!) every day. One brave day I took a length of rope with me, tied it to one horse's halter for reins, and climbed the fence to slip on his back. That dear, patient horse taught me to ride without killing myself. Then, his owner found me. Instead of calling police, he opened the field gate and sent us to the farm barn, for a saddle and bridle. He taught me how to use them, gave me lessons on grooming and hoof picking, and let me ride "Joe" whenever I wanted. It was a dream come true, and that dear horse and I explored the area for years together before I had to move away, and learn the bitter lesson of goodbyes. My parents bought me an 18 mo. old, chestnut (his Arabian colt, and finally I had teachers and poured all my love and learning into that boy, Cantaketchame (his reg. name) and it was Heaven... Please forgive this long note, I've never put it in writing before, and I'm moving toward the other end of life. Suffice it to say, my love of horses is life-long. And I love to see it in others such as you, Yvonne, and in the members of this group. Thank you. It's WONDERFUL to see Geertje and Ginny begin their training, they're doing great! oxox

You are such a fabulous trainer Yvonne, you know how to keep the young horses calm in a strange place 😊😊😊. Looked like both Geertje and Ginny were working well - love Gimny's canter 😍😍! Don't worry Yvonne - everyone forgets something at some point! My boss, Chris got to a show jumping competition once, and realised that he's left his riding boots at home 😂🙈😂🙈! Daisy and Glendy and such cute little balls of fluff 😍😍😍😍 - typical, mischievous Shetland ponies - can't keep them in anywhere 😂😂😂😂! Bauke did really well catching Daisy 😊😊😊😊.

Yvonne, the pasture view, with the sun shining through the trees, looks like a painting. For your elbow, has your doctor given you any injections to calm the inflammation? An injection might help with the soreness, if other methods haven't helped. Thank you for sharing the beautiful horses and cute ponies.

What a good idea to give the young mares some time in new environments so they become more brave. That way, if they go to the inspection or to dressage events, they won't be so scared. They both look so cute in this video.... Dieuwke is a good guard dog, she stayed with the runaway! Goed zo to Bauke for helping, I love his joke about "Bauke Eastwood," LOL!

Ginny looked great in the arena, and Myrthe made it look effortless! I liked your riding lesson story. I bet your parents were proud that you went out to find horses to take care of, and impressed that you have turned your love of horses into a wonderful way of life that actually helps other people! 😀 When you scratched Ginny's forehead as she waited to be rinsed, her eye looked soo kind. Bauke was awesome to catch Daisy when it was wet and dark! What a guy! 👍😀 The morning after was really beautiful. Glendy and Daisy have a lovely home!

There is nothing like a horse! ♥️ I enjoy these videos do much Yvonne.... I appreciate your efforts in bringing these magnificent horses to us. Poor babies, all upset with new surroundings.. "What is this, oh nooooo, wherrrre arrre weeee" Geertje and Ginny are saying. They are so cute. Glendy and Daisy.. What a pair! Bauke saves the day. I hope Bauke does enjoy all of the horses more and more. QUESTION.. have you ever thought of playing beautiful classical music in the arena... After the horses training sessions? I mean soft beautiful classical music.

And those 10 lessons changed your life forever 😉. I remember spending 2 years at a boarding school in Zimbabwe as a child where they had a riding school attached to it run by Nan Sheppard, a well known horsewoman in Zimbabwe in the 70's, and I begged my Mum to allow me to give up ballet so that I could start riding (she also couldn't afford much) and I remember never washing my jodhpurs and hiding them under my pillow so I could smell horses when I went to sleep 😂. Until the matron found them ..... 🙄. Memories are often good.

Ginny's canter looked wonderful! She and Geertje are such gorgeous young mares! Very nice to see the different facility---where Yvonne took riding lessons as a girl! She has truly a lifelong love of horses, and is already starting her boys on the right path with the naughty ponies!😄 Good Dieuwke for staying with the escaped pony! Now if she would just herd them home . . . And Bauke Eastwood (😂) did a very good job! He will be a horseman yet! (Plus I think he is rather more handsome than Clint!) I'm getting a little curious. Yvonne talked about maternity exercises in a recent video, and now we know she is always hungry. Did I miss an announcement? Might there be another little stable hand on the way at Stal Horjus? Sorry if I am too nosey!😆

Yvonne, You were like reintje, the neighbor, now. He also love to be with the horses all the time. And now you're doing what you always wanted, is'nt that fantastic. And you have already 4 horses, and in a few months 5. And you know already so much about horses, incredible. You can and do all, or almost all. You're half farrier, vet and full rider, lover, spacenter, KZbin poster, cameramen, videoproducer, and many more.. You're lucky you can doing your hobby as your work. One day will come you will run your own stable. And i'm shure that your 2 babys will follow their mom. Teije is already cleaning stalls, so??? 👍💞👍❤️👍💞👍❤️👍💞 Same for geertje and faya. She loves it to be with the horses, and so young riding alredy so well👍❤️👍
