I bought the black dialed Sous Marine on the FKM Viton strap, having heard mixed reviews, I went with the rubber instead. This is a "just right watch" and I find the accuracy of the in house movement quite accurate, on par with Ebolore SW-200s if not slightly better.

I bought a Yema (armèe de l'air) for my 30th birthday. The bracelet cut into the case when you angled it - an issue I have never seen with sand watchmaker ever. I had to return the watch and didn't buy one again. The return process was tidious and they didn't offer to fix the issue. I still don't know whether all watches had that issue or only mine. In your video I can see the bracelet once again not fitting 100% to the case lines which brought me right back to this bad experience with them. The quality still doesn't seem to match the price. So it's funny even you recommend not getting the bracelet version :))

If there's no lume on the seconds hand, you can still see it passing over the lumed pips on the dial if they're glowing.

Love that black and white contrast dial…with the pop of yellow on the bezel….great design!

Nice piece. Yema is doing interesting things, it's definitely a brand to monitor. This one is very nice, my favorite is probably the orange one on the rubber strap.

It's really a nice looking watch. I'm with you on the aluminium bezel. Looks way more clear, clean, and classy without that reflection.

Pretty great looking watch! I had a Yema Rallygraf, and gotta say I was very impressed with the build of that one for the price. I agree with you on the bezel, aluminum > ceramic! Ceramic gets a bit too fingerprint-y.

The thing is, they sell orange or red superlume. They could have lumed the seconds hand.

Yes I believe Yema themselves use this Yellow super lume on the Marine National GMT hand. (but not yellow seconds)

So this confirms that the Yema 2000 movement is compatible with the SW200 (and thus with ETA2824) in terms of casing, diameters, and so on... However, it's weird ; they are shipping yema 2000's daily to customers, and they couldn't spare a few ones for prototypes?
@EscapementWatch Жыл бұрын
I'd say yes...but can't be 100% sure. They could have mickey-moused it for prototypes like using dial dots for attaching the dial. But size is similar enough that it fits.

Good review. The hands look to short and narrow for the size of the dial.

With hands similar to those found in the yema flygraf, this watch would be awesome.

Another awesome review. I love aluminum bezels as well. I have a Superman on an FKM and it is a great strap with a great fit. Oh I want lume on my seconds hand. 😅

As a diver, I do not wear watches like this. I use a dive computer. I don't know many divers who wear watches like this while diving, esp at depths of 200 mtrs or more. It's def a nice one..suitable for day to day, or even skin diving. But I wouldn't use it for anything deeper than that. I would prob def get one..but look at more subtle color.

Yes it's a bit ridiculous using an automatic watch. On one of the sales forums I visit there was a guy trying to sell his Rolex James Cameron Deep Sea Diver, covered in scratches obviously from sand. He was arguing that he was using it for its intended purpose. He was rightly ridiculed for it. It sat for months unsold under market rate. Use a dive computer, not a luxury desk diver lmao.

They missed out on lumming the inner ring (to make the secondshand lummed indirectly) PS. You must not reveal what the secret measurement is!

The first thing I noticed was that it looks like a Bremont. The second is that it’s name sounds like that same Bremont’s name, the Supermarine. That aside, ‘tis okay.

Sir very nice review of the watch full details and most important is you use the time grapher the important to me is the accuracy of the watch

Yema was always a brand I wanted to like, but something just felt off. Their designs always felt both undercooked and overcooked at the same time. The vintage vibes kept them going. Now with this more modern release, their incoherent design is on full display and I think I get it! It's too busy, too many odd choices that kinda work in isolation, but when put together, it's just a mess. And the handset, it's a disaster, too small, like you mentioned and very boring. The beads of rice bracelet is an odd choice for something more forward looking. The price is okay though, so at least they know what bracket they are playing in.

Lotta chatter among watch insiders that these so called "in house" calibers, the yema2000 based on the mob1000, are Chinese calibers from a company yemas parent bought. They are shipped to europe so yema can say "assembled in morteau" but are not actually the quality of a true Franco swiss movement. Buyer beware with this brand.
@EscapementWatch Жыл бұрын
I haven't heard this specifically but I do know they source parts from the Asia region. But they are trying to make more and more parts locally and say one day they will make every part local. Just going to take $ and time. But I will say this: All the Yema 2000's I've received all ran basically perfect. (over 300 amp and COSC or better) I've never tried their new in house movements yet (MANUFACTURE MORTEAU CMM.20)

Yema are a pretty shitty company to deal with, had issues with a rally graph and they were terrible to deal with
