Thank you for making those 2nd-person shots. It gives a whole perspective of wearability as opposed to just shooting a picture or a video from your arm yourself. It would definitely look good on my 6.5in wrist/ 6ft height profile. I'm thinking of getting the Steinhart fleiger Nav B chrono which is a 42mm. I like the IWC vibe with that model, if by any chance you stumble on that to review, thanks in advance.

This is a really cool looking release. I like that nice thick leather strap, and the lighter weight will help mask the thickness a bit. I think you're right about the wrist size. Although it looks fine on you wrist, it would probably be more at home on a bit bigger wrist. I could easily pull it off with a 7-1/4" wrist, but the brown/tan tones really go with my overall style. I'm more of a grey/black tones with pops of color(colour) guy. If money was no object, I'd be happy to have one of these in my collection, but I need to be a bit pickier than that. I do need a mechanical chrono in my collection at some point (have some quartz), but I'm not sure if that will be with my big birthday purchase this year (love that new Speedy '57 on wrist...see if you can get a hold of one for review), or somewhere down the road.

In your video, I saw a black NATO style band with a tan stripe going up the center. Where did you get that band, if you do not mind me asking.

More than 30 mm is definitely nicer and useful. That's why I like a two register chrono with bezel like hannhart does so you can keep count of hours and have and a more precise time for minutes and seconds than a simple diver. In this case if you let running the chrono more than 30min you have to remember that hour you engaged it. More mind gymnastic but definitely doable.

I must say I do like this Pioneer from Hamilton. Although I would prefer an hour chronograph counter most of my timing is within 30 minutes so I have no problem with this design. Some of the more classic chronographs also only had 30 minute counters like the old Heuer Monaco among others. I'm not sure if this is for my right now as I have the Longines BigEye in steel that for me is more readable at a glance but also has poor lume compared to some. As for the cam operation and lateral clutch? Again this is no issue for me. The current Valjoux 775X base movements with cam operation provide great haptic feedback with a decent activation click. The lateral clutch may only become an issue if the chronograph is left running all the time (not sure why you would as it's a 30 minute counter) as the crash gear will wear. If you need to run the chronograph all the time a vertical clutch should be considered but this will require more of the hard earned green folding stuff to purchase. Anyway a great review FT and thanks for sharing.
