Warzones are damn chaotic. There are dozens of different units doing a dozen different things. Those that saw the art being moved either didn't care, too busy to notice, belived the BS escuse given or was killed shortly after any of the above considering how brutal one sided the early days of the war was

The hammerstrikes and Azura are the two major reasons why I hate the COG (not main charaters the leaders of the COG). The hammerstrikes were understandable, but Azura was just an island full of the rich with fine arts. While people was dying from the Locust those assholes on the island were eating caviar and looking fine arts.

Taking art and fine dining is the worst of it, they chose that over saving more human lives! Like all the space they had could've been used to house people. Sure food might've been an issue, but certainly there was space for more common folk!

There’s a particularly effective piece of storytelling found with some of the Collectibles on that island and gears 3. One of them is a pamphlet that advertises some of the provided activities for the inhabitants including therapy and scenic walks. It Encapsulated just how sheltered this island of elites were I couldn’t help but feel angry in a way that few lore descriptions for random Collectibles have ever managed. How ironic that the COG is meant to be socialist .
