For what it’s worth I’ve worked healthcare for over 20 years. I’ve gotten to know a few social workers, family law lawyers, and a family court judge. The work is awful. I couldn’t do it. The stories of abuse, incest, rape will just grind your soul into mush. I’m the same way with work. I hate it. Never found a way to escape.

Omg. I am angry also! Totally understand. I’m tired of worrying that I will offend people. I too want to figure out how to make a difference. I’m 55, recently widowed and have brain cancer (in remission). Starting with my local food bank. Worried about my medical insurance that I need. If they get rid of the ACA, I won’t be able to afford it as I have some pre-existing conditions. Anyway, f’ing pissed. Totally pissed.

Thank you for sharing Samantha. I too have been heartbroken. My own daughter made the choice to vote to make my life as a woman living on, (not my choice,) disability, so much harder going forward. It is difficult. I’m glad you took your mom to Paris. My mother was a language teacher and in her youth spent a lot of time in France so I can just imagine how much she would have enjoyed the trip as well. I think you are brave to bring up your journey re the topic. I value you and look forward to seeing where all of this takes you. But most of all, spend time with those you love. ❤

The question is where are all these mental problems originating from, is it something that people have been unknowingly fed or given by a doctor ( starting at birth ), or is it the grooming that everything from tv to grade school to university is pushing to brainwash the masses. Its like the people living in the shack in the mountains or the swamps have their heads on straight and some of those that have gone through the "system" are on some other planet. And sad but true, when someone is in their mid 30's and their life revolves around Disney themes of wanting to become a princess ( as in not a child anymore ), its sad to see and even more sad is the fact that the parent is condoning the very same things. I am from Canada by the way but as an example one of my friends who is from the states and is now in her later 60's, I had her watch one of these videos some time ago and she had always been liberal leaning ... well she just shook her head at the issues we can see being displayed, and a whole lot of first world problems as well.

i too am upset and scared for my kids. My daughter 23 and I worry for her rights and for the sake of my kids father whom is on social security for his disability and my dad is retired. My kids are of mixed race and I too feel the same way as you. The only thing I can do is save up and move with my children away to where I can keep them both safe and give them the best possible life that I can provide for them.
