I know sometimes that you don't always come back to series but the fact that some people resort to the fact that you've abandoned it doesn't necessarily mean you're done with it, like in this case Also when the original game released, I was 5 back then. Twisted Metal, gow 3, cod even, etc. Except I wasn’t super into dr 1 like many others were, I loved dr 3 tho just the protag was amazing. Your mom was much stricter which is awesome bcuz my dad didn’t care at all. It’s kinda another reason why I have a lot of mental issues from those games and also family members too.

And lo, since I love Ryan's videos so much, I spent a literal hour and a half writing this story of my take on Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster! This legit might be the longest story I have ever wrote, this took me 4 and a half hours so if you read it all I would sincerely appreciate it, and also be astronomically flabbergasted and if you don't fall unconscious by the time you are half way through! I expect lots of comments below saying, IM NOT GOING TO READ ALL THAT, but I came prepared this time with a lot more than I usually bring to the table and this time I had to shorten it because youtube didn't allow me to post something that big lmao 😂- *Ryan sat in the backseat of Mike’s car, eyes heavy with the weight of the past few days. The trip to Woodbury was supposed to be a weekend of relaxation-a chance for him, Mike, and Nora to reconnect and unwind. But even as the Vermont countryside blurred by, with its rolling hills and thick forests, a strange sense of foreboding gnawed at him. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t right, though he dismissed it as just nerves from the stress of work and life back home. The three of them had planned this getaway weeks ago, booking a cheap cabin on the outskirts of Woodbury. Mike had found it online, proud of the fact that it fit within Nora’s tight budget, and it seemed like a perfect spot-secluded, peaceful, a world away from the chaos of their everyday lives. But that sense of peace had been broken earlier in the day at Moe’s Pizza, when they’d met the hiker. The man was tall, wearing hiking gear that looked worn and filthy, as though he’d been out in the wilderness for weeks. He approached them in the small pizzeria with a calm, almost eerie demeanor, asking if he could hitch a ride to Woodbury. Mike, always cautious of strangers, declined politely, but there was something about the way the man stared at Ryan that set him on edge. The hiker’s words echoed in Ryan’s mind even now: “People who are unkind will have unkind things happen to them.” The rest of the drive to Woodbury passed in uneasy silence. They almost hit a moose on the winding mountain roads, and for a moment, Ryan had felt the pit of anxiety in his stomach deepen. Mike laughed it off, brushing aside the near-miss with a joke, but Ryan couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched, of something lurking just out of sight. When they finally arrived at the cabin, the sun was already beginning to set, casting long shadows through the trees. It was a small, weathered structure, nestled deep within the woods, far from the nearest town. The kind of place you’d imagine a writer going to for solitude, or where someone might disappear and never be found again. Ryan stood in the gravel driveway, staring at the cabin’s dark windows, feeling that creeping sense of unease return. Mike and Nora settled in quickly, but Ryan couldn’t relax. He checked the locks on the doors and windows multiple times, his paranoia growing by the minute. Mike teased him about being overly cautious, but Ryan shrugged it off, feeling something cold stir in the pit of his stomach. Something wasn’t right. Later that night, as the others fell asleep, Mike got a call from Nora saying she’d blown a tire on her way up and needed help. Reluctantly, Mike left to assist her, leaving Ryan alone in the cabin. Hours passed, and Ryan found himself sitting by the fire, staring into the flames as they flickered and danced, trying to quiet the thoughts in his head. But the silence in the cabin was oppressive, broken only by the occasional creak of the old wooden structure and the wind howling outside. It was then that the knock came at the door. Ryan froze, his heart pounding in his chest. He hadn’t heard a car pull up, no footsteps approaching the cabin-just that sudden, sharp knock, like something straight out of a nightmare. Hesitant, he stood up, moving toward the door, half-expecting to see Mike standing there with a grin, ready to laugh off Ryan’s anxiety. But when he opened the door, it wasn’t Mike. It was the hiker. The same man they had met at Moe’s Pizza, the one they had refused to help earlier. He stood there now, hammer in hand, his eyes burning with something dark and dangerous. Ryan’s blood turned to ice. The man said nothing for a long moment, just staring, as though sizing him up. Then, with a voice low and filled with malice, he said, "I told you, unkind people have unkind things happen to them." Before Ryan could react, the man pushed his way inside, slamming the door shut behind him. Panic surged through Ryan’s veins as he backed up, his mind racing. This wasn’t just some crazed drifter-this man had been following them, waiting for his moment. Ryan’s thoughts scattered in all directions, trying to grasp onto anything that could help him survive the encounter. He needed to stay calm, but every fiber of his being screamed for him to run. The man raised the hammer and swung it with brutal force, but Ryan darted out of the way just in time, the hammer smashing into the wall behind him, sending wood splinters flying. Ryan’s heart raced as he scrambled across the room, grabbing a nearby lamp and hurling it at the attacker. The lamp shattered against the man’s shoulder, but he barely flinched, his gaze locked onto Ryan like a predator hunting its prey. Ryan backed into the kitchen, looking for anything he could use to defend himself. His hands fumbled through the drawers, finding only dull knives and kitchen utensils that seemed woefully inadequate against the hulking figure that stalked him. The man swung again, and Ryan barely managed to block the blow with a metal chair, the force of the impact sending him stumbling backward. Pain shot up Ryan’s side as he collided with the kitchen counter, gasping for breath. The hiker advanced, swinging the hammer in a wild arc. Ryan threw himself out of the way, but the hammer grazed his back, sending searing pain through his body. He collapsed to the floor, barely able to move, his vision blurring from the agony. The man loomed over him, the hammer raised high for a final, fatal blow. Ryan’s mind screamed for him to fight back, but his body was too broken, too exhausted. His vision dimmed, and for a moment, he thought this was it-the end. But something deep inside him stirred. A surge of adrenaline, of pure survival instinct, pushed him to his feet. He grabbed a nearby crowbar from the toolbox in the corner of the room, his grip tightening around the cold metal. As the man brought the hammer down, Ryan swung the crowbar with every ounce of strength he had left, smashing it into the hiker’s side with a sickening crack. The man let out a guttural scream, stumbling back, clutching his ribs. Blood dripped from his mouth, his eyes wide with fury and pain. But Ryan wasn’t done. With a primal roar, Ryan charged forward, slamming the crowbar into the man’s shoulder, knocking him back toward the furnace in the corner of the basement. The hiker tried to fight back, but Ryan was relentless, his body fueled by a desperate need to survive. In a final, brutal move, Ryan grabbed the man by the collar and shoved him toward the open furnace door. The hiker screamed as he collided with the scalding metal, the smell of burning flesh filling the room. Ryan pressed the crowbar against the man’s throat, forcing him further into the furnace, the flames licking at his body. The man thrashed and howled in agony, but Ryan didn’t let go. He couldn’t. Not until the hiker stopped moving, his body slumping lifelessly against the furnace. Ryan collapsed to the floor, gasping for breath, his body broken and bruised. The heat from the furnace washed over him, the acrid smell of smoke and death filling his lungs. He had survived, but just barely. The man was dead, but the horror of what had happened would haunt him forever. As the fire continued to burn, its crackling the only sound in the oppressive silence of the cabin, Ryan remained on the floor, his breath steadying. The pain from his injuries was sharp, but he clung to one undeniable fact: he was still alive. Minutes passed, maybe longer, but Ryan’s mind slowly emerged from the fog of battle. He had done it. He had survived. The hiker lay crumpled by the furnace, the threat finally gone. Pushing through pain and exhaustion, Ryan crawled toward the stairs. Each step was agony, but the promise of fresh air drove him forward. At the top, the door creaked open to reveal morning light filtering through the cabin. The long night was over. Mike and Nora arrived, their hurried footsteps breaking the silence. Concern and disbelief filled their faces as they rushed to Ryan's side. “Ryan... what happened?” Mike asked, voice trembling. Ryan gave a weak, exhausted smile. “I’m alive... that’s all that matters.” They helped him outside, the fresh air a stark contrast to the suffocating horror inside. The warmth of the sun on his skin was a reminder that he had survived. Sirens wailed in the distance as police arrived, and Ryan explained the night's events. Though the weight of the ordeal lingered, he knew it was over. The danger was gone, and he was free. Sitting in the back of Mike’s car, Ryan closed his eyes, letting the hum of the engine and the rising sun promise better days ahead* .

In the cutscene after Isabela woke up after Frank brings her back to the Security Room like 5 or some cases ago, Barnaby started to turn into a Zombie himself, and attacked Jessie. It might've been a scratch or something because Isabela checked her neck and she was apparently fine. Guess the Zombification didn't kick in until now.
