Se que a nadie le interesa esto. Pero ayer yo y mi mejor amigo Valen, fuimos al cine del parque y por fin pude ver esta película. Al principio estaba algo nervioso por miedo a qué no le gustará ya que yo le invite. Hubo algunas partes en que se aburrió, pero al cabron si le gustó la película. Lo más gracioso es cuando la película te engaña en los sueños de Robot, Valen se lo creía y cuando volvían a la realidad siempre decía "PTM, si me lo creí". Pero más le dolió en esta parte final al ver que nunca se volvieron a ver Robot y Perro, simplemente una obra de arte :D👍 (Lo estoy volviendo furro a mí amigo 😈, na es broma)

ngl the more i watch this ending the more i come to terms with it & become less sad. it really had me emotionally fucked up for a good week & i couldn’t stop thinking about it without crying until today when i gained a new perspective. the dog was making eye contact with the robot for a good 5 seconds, i think he knew it was him- he literally saw him! & he knew it was their song playing that’s why he got happy in the first place. i think he just got sad when the robot hid & was hoping to still see him in the window. but when tin the yellow robot starts clapping & dancing the dog gets happy again & it makes me realize that dog is going to be okay with his new friend; his new friend didn’t want to see him sad that’s why he started dancing with him & wiped the frown off his face & the robot is happy with rascal when he sees him bbqing on the roof & doesn’t want to leave the person who literally rebuilt him after all he went through ❤️ the two will never forget eachother, ever. but they do find new happiness with new friends so it makes the ending less sad since they don’t end up alone ❤️ & i guess we can just all pretend that they will all run into eachother again one day in the city since it’s a small world & all be bestfriends ❤️

To me, this is as perfect as an ending can get. It's a lot like the ending scene from The Illusionist (The 2011 film). They presented two different ways that final scene could have gone, and had it gone with the first option they were hinting at, it would have been fine but it wouldn't have been nearly as powerful or thought-provoking as what we got in the end. (Plus, let's be honest, if the robot had left Rascal, that really would have sucked. Like, I would have been happy seeing Dog and the robot reunite, but I also would have felt sorry for Rascal)

Esta escena me mató para después revivirme. Todo se sintió tan personal... desde poner la música que representó ese momento especial y bailar imaginando que esa persona complementa el baile, hasta el hecho de reflexionar que eso es pasado y que la vida continúa. Gente se va y gente nueva llega para complementar nuestras vidas, compartirlas y hacerlas especiales. Duele y dolió, pero con cada nuevo presente que llega, el pasado comienza a perderse en el horizonte para finalmente terminar como un aprendizaje en el que se guardan recuerdos y vivencias que quedarán para siempre en nuestros corazones.

I just watched it, and in a word, it was *beautiful*. The way it captured the theme of 'life never goes as planned' was simply brilliant. We're so used to media selling us the idea of 'the one' that no one ever thinks 'what if there's another one?' When Dog thinks Robot is gone he finds a new friend, but now gets to consider that Robot is happy elsewhere and can really see the friendship in Tin clearly. Robot has a new friend and can see the value in that instead of trying to selfishly get the old one back, which will hurt Rascal and Tin.

It's awesome, even tho in my opinion that dog isn't the best of friends, and not because he didn't try hard enough to get Robot back but because his relationship is not too real, he literally bought a friend twice, so it wasn't genuine, having almost a slave master relationship (maybe in his new friendship with the yellow robot is different but I doubt it) he had robot doing all the chores and he was the dominant in the relationship. The relationship between Robot and Rascal was way more sane and genuine. I'm glad robot didn't go after him, robot deserved better.

esto se considera spoilers, lee bajo tu propio riesgo Robot dreams y la pelicula Past lives son similares y si alguna vez Robot dreams tiene secuela justamente sería como Past lives y seria triste de ver porque más o menos sería así: Perro se reencuentra con Robot y aunque quieran ser solo amigos Rascal nota la química entre ellos lo que lo pondría muy triste, además perro tiene a Tin por lo que él también sufrirá y si quieres mas spoilers la secuela de Robot dreams terminaría con Robot despidiéndose de Perro con un corazón roto, Robot regresa con Rascal llorando y Rascal lo consuela pero su relación/amistad estaría muy afectada y necesitarían terapia.

Eso de creer que es lo mejor... El perro lo quería. El robot no era capaz de tener a perro y al mapache juntos, no tienes pk sacar a alguien de tu vida para que entre otro, el perro vio a un robot, el mapache conoció a robot en otro aspecto de su vida. Dos etapas de la vida pueden coexistir. Es como que dejaremos de ser amigos de nuestros amigos de infancia pk ahora conocimos a los de la universidad. Nah, todos tratan de villano a perro. in the graphic novel was sadder, when Robot saw Dog with Tin he was shocked and there was even a teardrop but, unlike this movie Robot and Dog didn't have a special song, so Robot tuned in a melody hoping it would reach Dog, which it does and in the last panel we see Dog whistling the song.
