Totally agree! Everything was perfect, from the singing to the dance routine, the song itself and who would have guessed that it even sounded better with the orchestra who did a fantastic job! Not always an easy task with a dance song (see Gina G's Uh Ah...).

A catchy number, and cute choreography, yes -- but a bit overproduced and safe, compared to the other entries of the night. It deserved higher than 6th place, yes, but the first, third, and fourth place winners of that night were definitely better (in my opinion).

Bobby McVay was in a reformed Bucks Fizz a few years ago with Mike Nolan, Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston. They toured, including this track in their set, plus Making your mind up of course, and recorded a new album as The Fizz, called the f-z of pop, which did quite well. Bobby features on the singles Dancing in the rain, Up for the fight, Amen and Home for my heart. They’d known him for years anyway as he used to go out with their wardrobe girl. He left as he had to keep commuting from his home in Italy for gigs.

The song lives on though; Bobby McVay sings it these days with Cheryl Baker, Jay Aston and Mike Nolan from the UK's 1981 winner, Bucks Fizz, who are now known as The Fizz. Bobby does this here with Carrie Gray (now Grant) and Helen Kray.
