It’s more than just “refusal.” They need to build a solid case or you risk them going free. It’s frustrating for sure when it seems to obvious to the public, but that’s a trial by media. In court, a jury has to believe it beyond a reasonable doubt. If the prosecution rushed each case because the public wants who they think is “obviously” the culprit in jail, we would just end up with a ton of Casey Anthony’s. I’d rather they spent the time to have a solid case and making sure it sticks, so that even with any appeals, they are refused a new trial or found guilty again.

Married couples get to know each other very well. The quirks and inconsistencies that parents either don't mind or over look are sometimes felt keenly by the other spouse. The spouse reacts in a negative way and the first person feels like they are unloved and/or unwanted, not realizing that what they said or did made their spouse feel the same way. After years of this happening they end up meeting a person who treats them how they wish to be treated and go off with them not realizing they are taking their quirks and inconsistencies into a relationship with someone who either doesn't really love them, or won't put up with it for a second.
