Here I go over using deep record mode and give a overview of the crank misfire software.

Great video , helps other understand sample rates better . Little hard to explain in a text conversation . I’ll be sharing Michael .

where did you read the duty cycle? you said it read about a 50 to 52% duty cycle. Thanks for the video , very helpfull!!! If you can answer one other question..... when reading secondary ignition waveforms I have to choose the ecop multiplier on my escope 4 channel limited. How do I know what multiplier to choose? The ignition clamp I have says its a 10000 :1 its a hantek ht-25 . I know its cheap and I am getting a better one. anyways, when I choose a 10000 x ecop multiplier the voltage goes past the 5000 volt max in the dual scope. It reads fine in the deep record as its displaying a higher range. Is this normal? is there a way to read a higher kv ( over 5000 volt ) on the dual scope? or do I have to use the deep record? Thanks again for the video

@@mjediagnostics9510 Ty for the quick response, I see... I thought you were using both cursors to find the duty cycle. I see you were just using one... I have the older version of the 4 channel. Does the newer scope limit the max voltage to 5000 when using the ecop probe on the dual scope tab???? on mine it stops at 5000 volts on the dual scope but it reads past 40 kv on the deep record tab???. when on the dual scope page I find I have to use a lower multiplier that the probe is in order to fit it in the + - 5000v window.... again ty VERY much

I think I get it now... the "20 second screen" didn't become a 20 second screen until the buffer was full... at which point the screen / waveform started to roll across the screen. It took 2 minutes for the buffer to fill... when you stop deep record, the whole buffer is stored (2min), not just the 20 second screen, correct? I'm only half way through the video... I might get my answer in the remaining half. The buffer can also be increased if I remembered seeing that correctly a while back.

Nope... the 20 second screen remains a 2min buffer / screen once the waveform starts rolling . Anything that scrolls off screen to the left, is not saved. Like you said though, it's ample time to capture a glitch.
