Thanks. That’s the same conclusion I drew 5 years ago when I embarked on this journey. There’s loads of escorts being built by amateurs and professionals alike, but very little in the way of details, so hopefully the video’s will shed some light on the matter. Warts and all.

I have done likewise but still there are a few I haven’t seen that pop’s up from time to time one I was looking for was the seat runners mine are welded in place so the seat cannot be moved back or forward I will have to take mine out and fit some runners to it

Totally agree, there’s loads of stuff on forums but it gets contradictory and every one starts slating everyone else and it’s a mess. I was looking and waiting for a whole build series on the escort and it never came... hence my video’s. Now I’m no expert, far from it, but If my videos inspire just one person who knows what the hell there doing to come forward and post a whole detailed build series then my work here is done. 👍🏻

Even though I worked for Fords motor co for 40 years I don’t claim to be an expert I admire people like yourself having a go life is a learning experience and the only way is to do it and ask questions I do follow a lot of people on here Marcus Hayes among others and you do get a lot of know all’s who criticises but I always say it’s your project you build it paint it to whatever you want you’re choice not theirs if they don’t like it to bad just keep on with way you want to do it alway remember no one was born a mechanic

I couldn’t agree more. Most trades are purely skill and experience based, and there’s only one way of building that skill base, and that’s to have a go. I watch all the guys as well, like Marcus, there all legends, I love the have a go attitude. It’s intimidating to see a pristine shop and every tool in the world and master mechanics talking the talk, but watching Marcus Hayes lying in the rain, soiling his jacket for the 5th time this week, pulling his gear box off with one hand for the 3rd time while filming with the other, that’s totally inspiring... 👍🏻

That’s my way of working I haven’t got a decent size garage and most of my time was spent lying on my back in the rain snow whilst servicing for my brother in law on his rally car
