Nice to see someone actually doing how to escort videos it’s all ok to read stuff on turbosport forums but it’s another to put into practice ,keep up the good work 👍

Thanks Edelweiss. I hope the videos help. I’ve spent years trawling turbosport and often ended up more confused than educated. For sure there’s a wealth of knowledge on there but you have to scroll through a million posts to find what you want. I hope to compose what I’ve discovered and learnt, with the caveat that my methods certainly won’t please everyone, but in the absence of descent KZbin material on the matter, I’ll do it this way and if it works you’ll see it work, if it fails, you’ll have a good laugh.

Are you going to put on a tension strut kit in time ?or is that waaaaaay into the future,I only ask as I recently bought one and will be hopefully fitting it with the new gaz gold coil overs anyway cheers for now buddy keep up the good work 👍

It is going to have a tension kit. I wasn’t 100% sure where to fit the compression kit brackets as I’d already taken the front end apart. The tension kit I believe is all bolt on. Unfortunately I don’t have the kit as yet or the front uprights, there all on the to buy list. I’d love to see a video of them being fitted.

It’s having the f20c from the Honda S2000. You can see the engine in the project rusty video.

Thanks for a great video sir. How far do you have the pipes protruding in the car?

The tubes stick into the car about 40mm. There’s a strengthening plate on the inner sill as well. The escort is relatively light at around 800kg, but if your car is heavier you can also consider bracing from the end of the tubes to the floor as well and essentially box the end on the tubes Into the car.

All the gear.....No idea😕 ok. I will strengthen it a bit. Minimum weight here is 1000kilo. If you need a primer that is weld able buy from Volvo. It is excellent. Part no 31385366!

Wow. Thanks for the tip. If I’d start again I would have done primer from the start, and not let the shell get so bad.
