No he did not burn the fish lol. I like that you let us see the blunders...lord knows I would've done the same. This meal looks absolutely delicious. Thanks for the recipe and step by step prep. I'll attempt this soon.

I was the daughter of a fisherman too learned how to clean fish early loved doing it and scissors are the best way for real!!🇹🇹🇻🇮💙

Delicious as always but most Jamaicans season their fish with more than just salt and pepper. Well my family and friends that I have seen fry fish, they season up their fish before frying. My father taught me to season the oil too with garlic, scotch bonnet, pimento seeds and sometimes thyme, and the fish seasoning had several different spices. I am sure the fish cooked with only salt and pepper isn’t as good as the ones that are well seasoned. You did a great job with your escovitch many Jamaicans do it the same down to the pinch of sugar you left out.

Who got to eat the burnt fish? I think parts of it would still be edible. I love to eat an entire fish vs fillets of fish only I’m not very brave to cook that for myself at home. You prepped a great meal today. 👍

RIA,,,Hello, gee as you were making this I was salivating , I got 3REDSNAPPERS from COSTCO. years ago, but I USES A READYMADE ESCOVITCH SAUCE to do mine,then made gungo peas with coconut ,fried plaintain, I have a book from NAT GEO, with a bio & figures for various countriesBUT whomever did JAMAICA SCREWED UP BAD, they said PIMENTO WAS A PEPPER, YOU KNOW THE ITALIANS USE ? Well I scanned it & sent it around the world to student friends from KNOX COLLEGEabout 70people, well shortly I got MORE than I sent asking what JACKASS WROTE THAT, so NAT GEO WAS SENT MANY OF THEM, they appologoiced,,, sorry !
