Fried Cabbage Recipe | How to make a healthy & Delicious Cabbage Stir Fry

We can all can enjoy a delicious fried cabbage without all the bacon grease and that’s exactly what this recipe offers you! Substituting regains bacon with Turkey bacon and frying with vegetable oil is a much healthier and low fat option and trust me, it’s just as delicious it even better! Try it first, you’ll love it!

Ingredients used
1 big head of cabbage
4 slices Turkey bacon
1 Hillshire Farm Smoked Turkey sausage
Vegetable oil for the stir fry
1 medium green bell pepper
1 medium red bell pepper
2 celery sticks
1 small yellow onion
1 small red onion
Salt/chicken bullion to taste
Dry Jerk Seasoning ( can use creole instead)
3-4 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Black pepper
Paprika
Freshly grated garlic
Freshly grated ginger

I tried this last Sunday for dinner y'all this was soooo good. I love cabbage anyway. I used keiba sauage and regular bacon. My husband loved it. He went back for 2nd and 3rds. I made cornbread and white buttered rice with this. It was totally 100% delicious. I would not have ever thought to put cabbage and sauage together. Thanks Mansa Queen for this receipe. I will be making this at least once a month.

Like you said cabbage and sausage together no way. I kid you not I make it so often, I make sure I keep the ingredients stocked at all times. One day I made it didn’t tell my Daughter she said mom I smell the cabbage Kabasa, that’s what she calls it, all the ingredients makes it smell so good. I truly need a bigger pot, I’m the cook and no Leftovers for me.☺️😋

Tried it this weekend and it was awesome 😋🤪 I had to do a few cheats & bought a bag of pre-cut tri-colared onions. I didn't have the lemon or chicken bullion, but it was still awesome! I substituted fresh garlic & ginger for the paste substitutes I already had in the frig! I've never tasted a better meal in my life! Thank you soooo much 😉

I love anything Cabbage stir-fry, Steamed i will eat it. I remember you said you're not a celery fan , i love celery. I sometimes mix white and red onions 🌰 too. 😳 OMG! Mansa, it looks delish! My husband and I can't eat certain things, I believe in subitutions. We both can not eat onions. We love them, but they don't love us. So what I used is a lot of powders, onion, garlic, etc. And nothing acidic for him because he has gurd. I already tried your shrimp stir-fried rice I added some chicken with it last night. I’m not a celery fan either, I pull the strings off and slice each stalk in half or three pieces lengthwise then finely chop. Going to try your recipe. I always fry bacon and or sausage and onions and add my cabbage and fry till cabbage is tender but I will add your additional veggies!

I have that skillet and also no lid. They sell spatter guards for 14 inch skillets. I wrap foil around the guard and keep it ready for covering my cast iron skillets when I need a lid. Just thought I’d share that. I just made kielbasa last week and wished I had a good vegetable dish to go with it and elevate it. Can’t wait to try this dish!
