ESEE Camp Lore Knife CR 2.5

The CR2.5 model designed by Cody Rowen is the smallest knife in the Camplore series. "It’s a real simple uncoated bird & trout knife great for in the field or general wood to bushcrft work.
The Camp-Lore series was developed to answer the demand for traditional, basic, bushcraft knives. The designers of this knife series come from a unique backgrounds and experiences, with each considered to be one of the best in their field. All of the Camp-Lore knives are simple, traditional, fixed blade designs that have been field-proven for years. Esee builds the Camp-Lore line in the USA utilizing 1095 uncoated carbon steel with removable Micarta handles which allows the user to apply a traditional patina to the blade without the need for removing a blade coating. Each Camp-Lore knife comes with a USA made traditional pouch sheath

Please show how effective it is processing birds & fish? - Does theCR 2.5 have a good handle for that work, - How does the steel hold up to bones? - Does blood & guts get into the handle slabs? - Is the blade effective compared to say a small Mora in filleting?, - etc. Loved you Camp-Lore RB3 video where it was used on wood for that is it's design purpose.

It holds up great with bone grinding when you hit one. no blood or guts get trapped in or under the scales very easy to clean. Glad you liked the RB3 vid.

Jg3 is the best knife I have ever owned. Does everything you need a knife for. Also you can change the scales, so if you get bored of the look of it just make new ones.

You can use many of things such as flitz knife cleaners frog lub rust rags or just house hold vegetable oil and that is food safe.

Good point. Was thinking the same thing given it's not made with a super steel. It's not expensive but I haven't purchased this because there are other options like a Mora Companion

guns4funcajanajustin Why? I hate the coating they put on their knives, it creates so much drag when cutting and gets debris stuck in it. I have a few carbon steel knives that don't have coating on them, I just wipe any residue off of them after I'm done cutting, they're really not as high-maintenance as people think, not unless you leave them in a wet area or don't clean them after preparing food or something.

Nice design but looks like it will fall out of sheath. Generic pathfinder sheath. Disappointing in a $90 knife. And for the premium prices, none of those three knives have properly finished, flush scales.
