I met someone online four years ago, who lived in another country, and we drove ourselves miserable trying to know each other and share our lives with each other as much and any way possible without even having met. Tried to take each other everywhere we went through a cellphone or a computer... Now we're married. We saw this movie together in the theatre and it was like going back in time... Very anxiously.

I find it so idiotic how people judge this movie based on what they think they know about it. I've heard claims of it being a "stupid movie where some guy falls in love with siri" when looking at it from the outside, that is what it appears to be. The movie Her is almost unbearable to me. Amongst many other things, it reminds me of my incapability of facing true, concrete relationships, which are full of disappointments, and in which love commonly ends, which leads to me living in a world of fantasy to keep me from looking directly at these problems. It also reminds me of how I could have had a relationship with someone that was trully fit for me, but I chose to continue in my confort zone and lived this relationship only in my mind. Today, I suffer from depression because I can't allow myself to make decisions that may alter my reality, but maybe will make me happy.

+Letícia G. This movie is brutal to me too because for the longest time I was like him, I was really afraid of loving someone because I always thought I would get hurt in the end. A few months ago I fell in love with this guy and I got really hurt and I'm still suffering but I wouldn't want it any different because I feel alive now. Allow yourself to feel things without being afraid of them, you'll grow so much and learn so much, don't be afraid of being human. Every time I'm afraid of leaving my comfort zone I look at my life and think: "Am I happy like this?" If the answer is "no" the fear goes away because in the end, what matters more than being happy?
@JoyGrenade9 жыл бұрын
+Letícia G. I met someone a few years ago who fit everything I'd ever looked for, and I took the leap and asked her out. Things were absolutely fantastic for a while, but we never fully opened up about how we felt about each other; when I finally told her how strongly I felt, she freaked out and cut me off completely. I was devastated, and it took me forever to get over her, but my method of doing so was to throw myself into as many overwhelmingly positive experiences as I could. This led to a number of amazing opportunities that have improved my life in many ways, and I now credit her with being the catalyst that led me to pull myself together. It was an experience as awful as it was wonderful, but I wouldn't change having gone through it for anything.

I was in a long distance relationship for four years. We'd talk everyday and spend every night telling each other what our days had been like. I knew everything about her and she knew everything about me. We were incredibly in love, planning for everything we'd do when we were able to finally be together. There were tough times when the distance was almost too much to bear, but the thought of our future together would keep us going. Every night we'd go to sleep smiling at the idea of being one day closer together. A couple months ago we were finally able to go on our first real date together. Five days later she left me for someone else and we haven't talked since. My heart is still hers. She used to sing this song to me when we'd FaceTime because she knew it was one of my favorites and because of what it and the movie meant. Sometimes I listen to this song and try to remember what things were like. What we were like. I'll never hear her sing it again.

The most interesting thing about this film is how closely you end up mirroring the connection between Sam and Theodore. That scene when she first leaves him and he runs to the subway staircase - that sense of crushing anxiety when you feel like the one thing you need to survive might consciously leave you - I haven't had that feeling since the last time I was brutally dumped. It was honestly frightening. My heart was pounding so hard and it felt like I couldn't breathe. Seeing Theodore running like that and falling but not giving a shit because he was addicted to that feeling of being loved and being special and being understood, and that sense of urgent danger at the mere thought of it being taken away, man I hadn't felt that pure fear in a long long time.

I love this movie so much. it brings a spark of joy but at the same time a huge amount of sadness... i relate to this movie so much... i met my girlfriend in high school. ever since we started dating she would always mention how she wanted to study abroad and discover new places. i always supported her but secretly wished that she would never go... but she did... we have been in this long distance relationship for 3 years now (we have been dating for 5 years) and i only see her twice per year and these past three years have been the hardest for me to endure. when she is not with me, i fall into what it seems an endless depression and melancholy. I'm a very antisocial person so i never go out, i don't really have a lot of friends. sometimes i wish i could make friends as easy as others do... for me she is my only friend and when she is not with me, i feel like loneliness surrounds me on a daily basis especially when i get home and there is no one there.. just me in a empty room... we are both now on our last year of college and are planning to get married on summer. even though we are so close to finishing, it feels so distant... not sure if anyone will read this and i don't really care.. i just wanted to freely vent my emotions somewhere.

We're both madly in love with eachother even if we can't hold, touch, feel eachother like most couples do. It's okay though.. Because in a way I do feel him. He's the warmth emitting from my jacket, the wind that blows, even the leaves that fall around me. The shadow that follows me isn't just my own anymore. 3000 miles can't separate the heart. Beautiful. Dedicated to our beloved little dog, Bo, we just lost at age 16. We were his eyes and guardians, and want to believe he is on THAT MOON. His little shadow does follow me on earth. Thanks for sharing this lovely song.

The first time I heard this from the film I incredibly cried cause it reminds me of my girlfriend and I when we were in a long distance relationship. I met her online and we endured the two hard years of not being together. I love her so much even without even meeting each other yet in person. Now we're together and it's just so nostalgic hearing this again. So much love for Her
@Daniel901car7 жыл бұрын
I saw this movie with her when we were still together. At that time I did not understand the movie, nor why she was so moved to see it. Now she left, and I saw the movie again alone, and in this part, exactly in this precise part I began to cry. It was like our own story, and I could not understand it. Now, every time I listen to this song, I remember the best moments of my life, right before everything was over.

This song reminds me of past times with loved ones, although i don't miss them anymore, i miss the feelings. life is pretty fucked up and sad, i sank more deep than i thought but, hope one day better times and better love will come. Thank you Spike Jonze for one of The BEST films of the decade with a beautiful soundtrack.

Im here, smoking a blunt, and thinking about life after watching this movie. My heart says one thing but my mind says another and i dont know what to do. This blunt means a lot more to me right now than it should, i feel that this is the only way i can connect with someone or something, thats how empty i am right now. If you are reading this and feel the same way then this is to you: Stop feeling it!! May this blunt unify the whole world and bring peace to our planet, may this blunt bring back my love, may this blunt bring happyness to you. We all are just one

This reminds me of someone who played mi ukelele for days trying to find the fingerpicking chords, when they were so simple, so familiar. Now I play the song by myself, thinking of him, knowing he never thinks of me. It's so damn bittersweet.

truly one of the most amazing films ive ever seen in my life (in the 14 years ive been alive) the film not only delves into some of the most fundamental accepts human nature (love) but also, has a way of going out of the bounds of what was once thought to be taboo-and can leave you wondering if us as a species, will ever love the way the characters in this movie loved and interacted with each other.

This song will always remember me of the girl I will never forget, we never fought or discussed. But maybe we weren't meant to be together and maybe we were just supposed to make each other happy for a while. Wherever she is, and if you ever see this, just know that no one will take your spot. I Love You!

This song makes me feel ok no matter what, it reminds me that life is beautiful not in spite of adversities but because of them. We are all doing the best we can to find peace, we fall so hard but are still capable to get up and find our slice of meaning in this universe. And now my eyes are sweaty.

So I'm this ordinary guy like anyone else, I saw this movie again (I've already lost the count how many times I've seen it) and I can't stop thinking when am I going to find true happiness. I'm so sad, worried, desperate to be really happy... so happy that I can hear this song again and feel the way you should feel when this song is playing. So I think that everyone feels something different, but everybody wants to find the same thing at the end, so maybe I am not just this ordinary guy. Maybe we're all special in a different way searching for something better in the worst way possible. That's what this song makes me feel.

This movie was beautiful, heartbreaking, and scary. It really freaked me out, because imagine how easy it would be to fall in love with an OS that understands you, and then have your heart broken finding our that your one of many people this OS falls in love with. Performances were amazing, Joaquin Phoenix was outstanding, and even though Scarlett Johansson was just a voice, she was incredible. 10/10

Dear Friend, Its been a while since I have heard from you hope you are doing well. I know we are from different worlds with different thoughts but I thought that is what made life for us more adventurous. Having our ups and downs getting to enjoy the wonders around us and the people we met together.... We played this song numerous times even when you were in the hospital, you found out you were diagnosed with bipolar depressive. This was the only thing you listened to in a loop. Hope you are fine and hope you are able to create a new journey and see different stars as well as planets, since we are both from different worlds. Hope you find the endless road to happiness.... My beloved friend..

I absolutely loved this movie. It really tackled a lot of questions about life, love and happiness.
