Ibrahim hussain normal vision is labeled as 20/20 vision but someone with stargardts disease is labeled as having 20/200 vision, or legal blindness, much like this man and very likely this woman's daughter. This is an awesome story. Call me crazy, but I'm 56 years old--no, this pic isn't very old. I'm visually impaired and if they offered me 20/20 vision right now, I'd have to say "no thanks." It would really screw things up. I wouldn't be able to take my dog to the mall anymore or tell tasteless blind jokes or make people laugh or tell people this is not a curse or something to be sad about. I am a musician and artist. in fact, the pic to your left is a selfie. I had to take about 50 of them to get it right, but technology has opened a lot of doors for me and I don't see this as a hindrance, except for when I lose things, which happens to sighted people too.

I'm cryin so much just having watched this. My husband has nonsenile macula degeneration. He's been told nothing can ever be done to help him. We've put experimental treatments on credit. Tried medications ,diet modification and supplements to no avail. It breaks my heart every time he "pretends " He can see something just so he appears normal. To think that finally there might be something the can help Is amazing. I'm going to have to look into and of course pray it goes down in price in years to come but I finally have a reason to hope.

My father is visually impaired and he has a very limited eyesight in one eye ( he sees rays but not clear and the other eye is completely blind) he used to had a very strong glasses in a young age and with time he had many eyes problems with glaucoma, retinal detachment and cataract) he is taking some much medication just to keep this very limited light but he can't see or walk alone. I really wish if there was something that can help him as he is so sad, depressed and no medication or surgeries can work anymore that's what the doctors said but God is good. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video and for helping people. God bless you :)

Did she say $15.000? for a plastic frame with two small monitors that costs around $10 each, a camera $12 camera and a remote to adjust the zoom? the only thing that i can see cost a little money is if it is prescription glasses built within for the user. but there is still no way that these glasses is worth the cost. these are the same kind of glasses that drone-racers use (fpv glasses) and they are around $150. Someone please explain, it does not take a genius to figure that out.

It's an O-Led display with 1080-1920 resolution, it has a camera that is most likely built for older phones due to the fact that it does not even record in HD (720p), making it around 360-480p (VHS-quality) not ideal for reading at all (you can test this by playing this video in the same resolution) you will find that you can make out the words but they will be in a blur=not sharp. The controller contains just a simple motherboard connected to two adjustment-wheels one for zoom, and one for contrast, some monitor inputs, i'm guessing VGA, it also has a SD-cardreader with the program stored on, the card only reads 4gb of memory meaning that if you can take photos on it, not that many tho. and there is most likely the battery inside of it too. This "hi tech unit" does not even have Image stabilization meaning that you cant use it while walking outside. it will make you feel dizzy. the remote connects to the glasses with a copper wire on to the plastic frame giving power to the two monitors through the battery. you have a standard pair of prescription glasses that has two magnets on its sides that later "docks" with the monitor housing. and allows you to tilt it up and down. This is a fucking joke if you ask me. This is basic tech that you will learn in gymnasium studies. all in all the price for this is around $150 tops. you'd be better of buying a phone a cardboard VR housing and a bluetooth shutter remote with zoom function :-)
