Being new to OpenTx radios, that I bought, at least in part to deal with the deadband on the OMP M1 and M2 helis, this has been a great help as I wasn't sure how to apply the DB curve to Aileron, Elevator and Rudder. Thanks for the Tip's John👍

Nice use of the OpenTX software! I'm still amazed at how much OpenTX has to offer, while I'm already very familiar with this hobby and TX, and still find new ways to solve problems everyday. You mentioned in the video that you got a general heli model for your Radiomaster, would you mind sharing it? I'm very curious how you utilize OpenTX to fly heli's, as that is my main aircraft-type I fly.
@Rchelicopterfun3 жыл бұрын
Actually OpenTX is not the only computerized radio OS system that allows output configurations like this - most of the higher end computerized radios allow it as well (Spektrum being the one example I can think of however that can't). Regardless, you are 100% correct in the configuration power of OpenTX; as I often say "if you can think it, OpenTX can likely do it." 🙂 As for my OpenTX base helicopter foundation, I use the one explained in OpenTX University's website in their helicopter section. OTXU is one of the most important websites around IMO if you are an OpenTX user - it's the only source I've ever used - clear, concise, logical, no BS. I do show my base heli setup in several videos, but this one goes into the most detail: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWKvYaqur9Skhbc Again, that is based on OpenTX University's heli outline. And then of course setup each individual helicopter setup is based 100% on what I cover in my collective pitch setup eBook: www.rchelicopterfun.com/rc-helicopter-tips.html

@@Rchelicopterfun I totally agree, I used a lot of different radiosystems in the last 10 years, but OpenTX is far superior in my opinion. Thanks for the link to your video, I missed that one in my subscriptions, I'm always curious how people use OpenTX, I will have a look and perhaps change some of my models ;)

Wow look at that radio. Just like my Cirrus '78 lol. I get my 16s Max in Gold this week and I blame you 100%. Im watching how you did your dead band. Can you tell me the numbers you used for the M2 dead band? Where did you get your cool voice package?
@Rchelicopterfun2 жыл бұрын
I just played with the numbers until I liked the feel. About 12% is where I like it on the M2 because I do want some dead band. Amber voice pack from OpenTX university.

@@Rchelicopterfun can you make any recommendations of where to get a start on this? Maybe the OpenTX University? (I haven't checked that out yet)

I always recommend OpenTX U to everyone new to OpenTX. That site is what made it possible for me when I was totally lost after making the switch from JR to OpenTX.

I've been thinking about buying an RC RTF Heli to fly (sedately) around my living like you did in this video. I've been thinking about this for over a year. But, nobody seems to test and report on this type of heli. It's important to me to have at least 6 channel control, because working the radio controls is most of the fun. I don't want to mess with computerized radio. I don't want counter rotating blades. I don't care about acrobatic flying at all. Any recommendations?
@Rchelicopterfun3 жыл бұрын
Why 6 channel (collective pitch) for flying around sedately indoors? By those two base requirements, sounds like you are more in the market for a tame little easy to fly fixed pitch heli like the ESky 150 V2 (the pod & boom version of this scale Bell 222), or the Blade 70S (a rebadged Esky 150 V2). If you want 6 channel (collective pitch), then you must mess with a computerized radio. You need a computerized radio if you want to correctly setup any modern day collective pitch RC helicopter to alter its performance to suite your skill level, flying style, and even flying environment. You are wasting your time & money otherwise. These two pages on my website cover all this in much more detail: Best RC Helicopter - www.rchelicopterfun.com/best-rc-helicopter.html Best RC Helicopter for beginners - www.rchelicopterfun.com/helicopter-for-kids.html

Hi, can you help me? i want to bind esky 150 v2 with open tx T-lite, but i can't do it, can you show me, thanks
@Rchelicopterfun3 жыл бұрын
I don't know a thing about the T-Lite so not even sure if it can be done. If the T-lite has the full function multi-protocol module, then it should be possible but you need to ensure you are running the most up to date version of Multi-Module firmware. Only the latest versions support Esky's unique F150 & 150 V2 protocol.
