Watching this in Oct 2024 and I feel it is a great speech by Mr Goh.

We should move on to tackle far more important Singapore issues to give our nation a better life than keep circulating private family matters! To all opposition parties, you should suggest more better policies than the ruling party if you can for the nation to prove your better leadership. Because all parties are drawing tax payable monies and all must have the duty to serve the nation. I have full trust and faith in our beloved PM Lee in term of leadership and integrity. God blessed!

To keep or to demolish 38 oxley road to me is a question of respect to Mr Lee Kuan Yew. To demolish it, is to respect this man for his great contributions to Singapore and the citizen of Singspore, young or old. What Singapore is today against all odds to be this status is all thanks to him and leading his team to accomplished the tasks. Our independence, our society, our economy, our safety, etc are brought forth by this man, should we not respect for all his years of dedication to this small country. Do we respect him only when he is alive when he is still contributing only and once he is dead on gone, this respect will be build with it. To do otherwise against his last wish which he had indicated prior to his death, are still say we still respect this man for all he had done, with a turn of a key. Would I get that something in my inside feeling something is it not right, if I have not follow his last wish, does it meant I am disrespecting him? I am confused where the respect for a great man like him should end, especially for people we have walked and enjoyed the fruit he bring forth to Singapore. I don't think it will be right for me not to follow his last wish in due great respect to this man. Are there only are solutions that we think of instead of all the current options available. Surely, those wise man who are involved in this issue of 38 oxley road would not disappoint the people of Singapore that they cannot give another better alternatives to satisfy both parties. If they can do many difficult situations between different countries including the superpowers at the international level, surely locally is a small issue.

Here i feel sorry for PM. He looked kind of sad too. :( Parents are always the magnetic force that draw siblings together. When both parents passed on, that force is gone and siblings fall apart. I know coz i have the same experience. It's sad, yes. My parents have passed away 8-10 yrs, but till today there are times i wish they are still around.

Its good to know that the late LKY's will is not the law and the Singapore government can exercise its right to acquire and preserve 38 Oxley Road for the interest of Singaporeans in the same way our land acquisition acts were used to acquire lands from Punggol farmers etc. Well done Singapore.

Take the PM to task if there are sound allegations but do not undermine his character and integrity. The timing of the press release seems to be calculated to embarrass the PM while he was at a very important trip in the US on behalf of Singapore?

What the pm siblings have done is really sad...their personal vendetta against pm could have destroyed Singapore...what horrible siblings they are...shameful indeed. Lky would be sad to see this has happened!
