something to note with builds and CP and such as well, is that some bonuses, mostly defensive, stack poorly compared to offensive ones, an exception is something like healing bonuses because they stack like offensive stats. the total build might operate more poorly together then the sum of its parts individually, or vice versa.

so if i play with dual weapons is better to go nirn and sharp with 2 maces ?
@WinterblastHalls2 жыл бұрын
I've come to use decisive for my stamblade bomber and stay ranged with the bow in order to build up ultimate points fast. It feels like I am actually able to do more eventually because the ulti is ready more often and with higher point values for balorgh during a match. Defensive doesn't seem to help much there because I'm mostly dying when on the offense, not when I'm actually able to get to the backbar and disengage. I've also used infused before but having the weapon dmg buff on the backbar, it usually wears off too soon to have a high impact, so I guess decisive is probably the best I can use instead. Half my chars depend on ulti bombs though.

Decisive is good for group play like a negate support outside of that better options for sure.

Hey so just my two cents but a lot of people make videos like this class ranks best abilities etcetera but what people don't really talk about is the math involved in this game where things are additive or mulplicative a video regarding what you know about that would be helpful to new and older players whom may not have learned about it yet i just havent seen anyone do it and it might fit well into that behind the build crafting scenes series you mentioned

Does the powered trait buff up the damage of a skill that also heals you? Say with a skill like the NB swallow soul, or power extraction, or it’s mag morph?

Nope. Just the heals.

I'm testing charged offhand with shock on dw right now, the debuff seems to be pretty much always on (didn't do dummy tests so I'm not 100% positive but every time I look at the opponent's debuff bar it's there). I'm not sure if it's better than a sharpened offhand though, feels comparable

Can someone explain charged to me? If you have 240% chance to apply a status effect isn’t it guaranteed? Charged has always confused me
@TheRealGodzilla2 жыл бұрын
It increases the chances to apply said status effect. Look up "Status Effects ESO" click on alcasts website you will see that there is individual "effects" that proc said status effect. Like Enchants, ground base aoe abilities, single target abilities. It increases THAT ability to apply stats effect so for example Enchants at base have a 20% chance to proc status effects we take than a multiple by 480%(2 charged weapons) gives you 96% chance to apply the effect. This is just a rough estimate and is only my interpretation on it. This doesn't include cp either to proc effects just charged with Enchants.

precise was outperformed by sharpened even during crits golden era in my experience. maybe if it gave a 5% buff to crit damage abs healing itd be better.

Charged still not strong enough to be run imo. Tested it on my hybrid dk on 2h (PC means already new patch). Another thing, if you are a DK that uses Corrosive armor like me or you use onslaught from 2h you cant utilize sharpened to the fullest. For brawler builds i choose defending over powered, especially because resistance is additive and NOT multiplicative (until cap). For a mitigation by mobility build powered seems to be stronger as you feel.
@TheRealGodzilla2 жыл бұрын
Your resistances while on your character sheet look additive they technically aren't because they are lumped into all other sources of mitigations like protection or CP. Armor only gives 50% damage mitigation at soft cap. That's the maximum you can get from armor you CAN go over BUT if your opponent doesn't have the penetration to lower you below cap some armor is being not utilized effectively. Easiest way to explain is checkout build editor in mitigation or check a video I did on mitigation kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIC4Z3ypqpiNiqc
@mikehaffenden1542 жыл бұрын
I go damage reduction over resistances, I find it to be stronger mitigation
@TheRealGodzilla2 жыл бұрын
They are inherently the same, checkout that video linked above 😁
@silver1surfer692 жыл бұрын
@@TheRealGodzilla Exactly not! All the % mitigations are multiplicative yes and the more you gather the less each individually adds (multiplicative math of the formular). Your resistance is stacked into ONE pool until cap and then it is added into the formular- thats why it is additive inside this pool what i tried to describe in your last vid. Same with sharpened. Then this pool is added multiplicative into the chain, although im not entirely sure if this is the case, but like this from this 50% (when caped) you gain only 1 time a substraction, other when u add some % like CP, potentate, vampire and so on they all get the substraction.
@TheRealGodzilla2 жыл бұрын
@@silver1surfer69 I get what you are saying. But when all calculations are done, ALL mitigations are multiplicitive together it has to end with every single added mitigation. Resistance, Protections, Vamp etc. It all equals 1 final number of mitigation. 660 armor = 1% mitigation that's why soft cap Resistance is at 33,000 I go I detail in the video
