In this episode of How To Get Good, i teach you everything you need to know about taunting and range manipulation from a Tank perspective in The Elder Scrolls Online. I teach you the different taunts, how to apply them, how the affect the enemy. The do and don't rules about taunting as well as explaining what "taunt immunity" actually means and WHY it happens. And finally the most important rule of all, HOW to pull enemies that WON'T come to you. Manipulating range is a BIG part of being a "good tank" and today you are going to learn how to do it RIGHT!

I love the explanation. I wish you had involved other friendly group aggro in your video. Would have made it more realistic. Also your third person aspect seems to give you better vision of the field... I need to learn that. I struggle at range pulls with my warden... btw your Atronoch Warden rocks!

I was helping a couple of friends get vrom nd for skin. And on the puzzle room I failed to taunt a stoneshaper because 4 others adds were infront of him. My friend was then heavy attacked.

Hey Xynode, what are your thoughts on the Tormentor set being used in one of your Immortal Warrior builds? I’m a new tank and have a variation on your amazing build. Without a group taunt, I struggled-as a new tank, there’s an overwhelming amount of stuff to pay attention to. The Tormentor set combined with two-handed on my back bar (using the Stampede attack) has helped me. Problem is, now I’m wondering if I’ve sacrificed utility/survivability. Does Tormentor create bad habits? Thank you for the awesome build videos, the awesome All About Mechanics series, and the great web site. Thanks for sharing your brain power with the rest of us ;) I know you’re a busy guy so understand if no reply!

okay. I'm on Xbox and when I look at enemies like you do, the banner over their head doesn't always show? I mean you scanned the room and the description always showed? I was in vAA and tried to pull axes, but the description didn't pull all the time?

What armor sets you using in this vid? You’re also doing way more damage than my tank. My tank can tank like a beast and have great sustain but my damage absolutely sucks.

AOE aggro would be useful as a skill that aggros 7 or more npc's

Aggro in this game is so whack! I started playing as a tank but couldn’t take it anymore. I still tank sometimes but I can’t stand how when entering combat everything just runs past me to my group no matter what I’m hitting them with. If only the game had an aggro system that factored in damage

yeah the only way to guarantee aggro is to apply a physical taunt, very different to other mmorpgs
