You demonstrated that NBs can still perma-invis, but that isn't the real problem. The real problem is that in a PvP environment, NBs fade in and out of invisibility for repositioning and mind-games. While the change may be as simple as "We can't use invis as much", it is much worse when you consider how it is used. NBs would use the 3 seconds of invis to get a Heavy attack > ability weave. Due to the 1 second global cooldown, we had 2 seconds to perform whatever attack we wanted to pull off. We would register in our heads that doing this would cost around 4500 Magicka, less depending on our gear or race. With this change, we only have 1 second after the GCD to do whatever we are going to do before the Invisibility cost ticks again. This means the act of simply going into Invisibility to reposition for an attack is going to cost NBs a lot more Magicka than it does now IN ADDITION to their recovery being disabled. This disproportionally affects NBs who use Shadowy Disguise to fight instead of perma-stealth or run away.

maybe is because ppl like you prefer all the stuff ZoS gave for more tankiness some ppl can still play and stand even if they are NB or other class. NB from the beginning was used to hide and use burst amount of damage.They nerfed nb in 2018 but still kept going like that until the moment everything was put on tankiness.NB's identity have changed to be "prode" class where you can encounter other class without need of hiding just to optimize all damage, resistance and sustain in one build. Now the only thing that can save ppl who still keeps hiding from dying is to try to outrun players and use environment to escape mass assault of orcs using detect pots...

It's only squishy because you are building it that way. Everyone wants the nb that can one or two shot from stealth so they build glass cannon. Plenty of tanky brawlblades out there.

Yeah you can be invis permanently....crouch. Literally all classes have access to this 'skill'. Kinda feels like like killing the useful and defining skill of a nightblade. Nightblades don't have the tankiness of dk's or the shields of sorcs they have/had stealth. Stealth is countered by: 1. Detect pots 2. Detect skills 3. Aoe dmg sets/skills 4. Sticky dots Basically it makes it similar to vampire's blood frenzie, which is imo a contender for worst skills in eso, not good to be similar to that. One final thing, yes you can build a nb to be permanently invis... you can build a dk/necro that just blocks defensive even with 10 people beating on it..... You can make a templar/warden that can hit a whole group with 10k of heals every second one stubbs their toe.... You can make a sorc that streaks across the map when they're even slightly in danger or refresh 20k shields every 2 seconds...... You can build arcanists with 40k health, huge recoveries, constant shields, and a ton of damage..... The idea that the nightblade is so uniquely powerful to need such a class breaking change is hilariously shortsighted. As annoying as it is to hunt nightblades in stealth, its also annoying to deal with every other pvp build Ive described. Just my two cents.

@@LumielPK You're right in that nightblades probably have the best burst in the game. That being said most classes can achieve impressive burst like dk's fossile>leap>whip. The main thing is that if you're either quick enough to block/dodge or are tanky through resistances, shields, defense buffs, 35k+ health, ect you're able to survive about any burst. Once you're able survive a burst (which isn't very hard) you have the advantage, as a bursty nightblade is also usually a squishy one. I think it's really frustrating for a dk to be attacked with burst then not be able to keep up/ keep track of a nightblade running away. Equally though it's frustrating for the nightblade to get prepped burst everything on a dk only to not even get him to half health. The dk uses coag and he's nearly at full health again. The nightblade runs away because standing and fighting is certain death, but knowing the tank-meta dk literally just shrugged off the hardest hitting combo the nightblade has.

NBs have many debuffs that allows it to tank, though. Being the only class with direct acess to Minor Main, Major Maim, Minor Cowardice and Major Cowardice altogether, thus having the highest damage reduction applied to enemies compared to other classes.

Fun fact: The resource granting bonus of a full set Darloc Brae negates the mana drain. Even while you are in motion. Plus. So long as you do not fail an attempt on picking pockets, or lockpicking a chest, or moving from one instance to another. IE zone travel or moving through any doorways. You will always remain invisible. In large market areas such as Davon's watch and stormhold. I was able to go invisible. Run around. Pick every guards pocket and open every merchant chest without losing stealth. RNGesus really came through for me that night. Dirty deeds, blessed by Deets. (Diety)

That's such a cheek... You invest a lot of time, gold and even money in your Nightblade, and then the Nightblade is devalued to the last drop... That makes me angry. The main thing is that Sorc and Warden become a god class.... Then ZOS should also make the current meta tank groups and damage shields useless! @@SafeTMan its not rocket science, you can sprint with invis as stage 4 vamp- whilst having sprint cost reduction already, which makes the vamp sprint quite nutty, the whole reason people dont run stage 4 is because the lack of recovery, thats where the balance is for getting the invisibility on sprinting, nightblade invis is different because you are recasting it at a large magicka cost and its very short lived- so it takes skill Think how annoying it would be to play against a magicka vamp player in pvp if everytime they nearly dead they can just sprint all around the map whilst recovering health whilst sprinting- fully invisible ?, the nightblades invis, you cant sprint, and yes you get health recovery but the invis is expensive and needs to be used with abit of thought, being able to run til ur stamina expires- which is slow because stam cost reduction- and recovering health the whole time is unbalanced, i mean just imagine nightblade magicka vamp if the sprint invis had health recovery, youd even have 2 pools to dip into for your invisibility TL;DR, sprinting is too cheap for stage 4 vamp, and too slow to get expire the invisibility to allow passive healing / magicka recovery all going on at the same time as hiding, nightblades invis needs to be used properly otherwise it is expensive

Seriously "cloak requires no skil." This requires no skill. It's a lazy toggle that benefits only PVEs while harming PVP play. And it's funny how you cheer on this absolutely dumb banner skill. This game has been tank central since 3 years ago and they just keep on going. Now they are putting the foot on the throats of the only full damage build running around the flipping map. You need to stop drinking that kool aid. It would be one thing if the 10% damage increase worked on players to. At least there would be some benefit to it other than making the rock runners and tower humpers cheer because they'll get another minute+ of running out of their system because there aren't any nightblades to help the 10 people already attacking them to bring the tank down.

What are you on about, all this does is make sure, the a night boy can't cloak all the way across the map, with high sustain, and blow up someone while virtually being impossible to see in having zero counter play, The only way that effectively counted this would be to have constant aoes around yourself, or Spam potions on cooldown, this needed to be addressed, and to be honest this only affects bad night blade players. If you're a good night blade player, this is virtually nothing

All this does is make sure that the players that do nothing but sit crouch in one spot, and then power up four abilities to insta kills someone get punished for sitting still for 20 minutes while waiting for someone to walk by, a good night blade player would not even notice the nerf, now you're forced to get in and get out, which is what the night blade playstyle is, I've seen good night blade players kill rarely even barely using cloak if at all, the bad players that use cloak after every single ability, are the ones that this punishes

No matter how much to try to say this change is OK, you’re just wrong. Period. This change is just crap. I’ll predict NightBlade is going to be abandoned by many normal-level players until they fix this. NB already has no shield ability and Major Resolve only comes if you play the right abilities to activate the passives instead of just having a typical Major Resolve active ability. Also, your point about relying on Vampire Level 4 sprinting is sooo….. bad compared to an invisibility ability. You completely failed to mention how easy it is to fall out of invisibility. It happens constantly unless you’re on flat ground. So you’ll inevitably be dropping in and out of Vampire invisibility and waiting another 3 seconds before you can reactivate invisibility. I’ve played Level 4 Vampire for years for this exact feature and I can absolutely assure you that maintaining invisibility is quirky. Plus, as Level 4 you have zero health recovery so it’s really only good for a few dungeons or doing Dark z brotherhood or Thieves Guild quests. So, good try trying to convince people that this is a good change. It’s not, plain and simple. I know that my NB will likely get retired until they make some other major change to try to bring back the NB players they’re going to lose because of this. I don’t really care because I’ll just play all the other classes. But I think this was pretty stupid on behalf of Bethesda (in my opinion only).

The way invisibility works now, it makes stealing a total breeze. Before, you had to keep spamming the invisibility button and not mess up while hitting the other buttons for opening chests, drawers, barrels, coffers, etc and grabbing things. Now you just get to a room, turn on invisibility, calmly rob everything, turn off invisibility when you're done, move on to the next room

I have been playing ESO since day one, and I only play solo PVE, with one of my favorite characters being my Khajiit Nightblade, so I really hate whenever these people keep changing how things work in the game - it would be like someone changing how a particular chess piece moved. I the banner has definetly potential, im tending to try the skill out on some of my dd's like 1bar sorc banner instead ele suseptebility, dubble bar it on my bow bow stam sorc build and on the cro, ppl always tend to complain or say its trash when it aint doing what they would want of it or when they cant make sence of it, but i believe there is gonna be a great uses to the banner

Wearing a full 5 piece set of Darloc Brae overrides the majica recovery ban. Can remain invisible permanently. Great for picking the pockets of guards.

Xynode, you’re really coming off as a ZoS yes man with this video. This change was unnecessary. They could’ve just added the Shadow Boon to the ability and it’d be perfectly okay in PvE. Nightblades don’t have the greatest survivability than the other classes. We need to be able to get out of battle and prepare for the next attack. There are ways in game to deal with it, it’s not broken. It didn’t need to be a toggle.

Its actually easier. You run zero mag recovery and just use sphipning while invis. This makes staying invis forever less click intensive.

@@stonic5 That doesn't sound sustainable in combat though, and most players hiding in enemy keeps at least attempt to gank unsuspecting players a little while after a battle has ended. Zero mag recovery and needing to use siphon to stay invis will leave you incredibly weak and vulnerable.

This is a terrible change and was not even needed honestly if anything just slightly increase the skills that draw out nightblades from stealth and call it a day.. I don’t even main nightblade and I know that kills the class… “oh don’t worry it won’t effect players who are Magic based and who dump everything into max magic while forcing yourself to be a vampire and drastically limiting your build creativity and making stam nightblades have to be a half as good stam warden or any other class just jump in and get wrecked for not being able to spring and burst from stealth you know the whole unique thing about this class that you liked and wanted to experience… well stack max mag or find another class sorry bout your luck” this is just trash it’s a bad attempt to help bad kids deal with the invisible bogeyman.. facts…..

Sooo...hamper your dmg by tossing your dmg sets for straight recovery and max stats. Then waste 2 bar slots for a banner that the hampers recovery across the board by 40%(a skill not in base game) all the while not killing anything or anyone...while every other class blows nb out of the water. Oh, and having to run vamp for further increasing ability costs and fire damage taken...right.

The only time I've ever used the Shadowy Disguise is when I can't be bothered to fight through a public dungeon or delve when I'm on a low-level character or dont have my Invis build gear on me. Since leveling everything and getting all the passives, gear sets, etc. It really doesn't do a whole lot for you to have the Invis skill. Darloc Brae from N. Elsweyr, Plus Night Terror from Stormhaven as a basic start, will allow most leveled NB Khajiits[optional, small boost] to be practically invisible to most everything in pve; Latern guards notwithstanding. You can touch 90% of world bosses and not pull aggro. There's like one or two you that have an exceptionally large hitbox that you can be inside, which triggers aggro, but that's a very small portion of them.

Don't forget that one green CP ("Out of sight", if I remember correctly) for an additional 1, 2 or 3 meter detection reduction from NPCs. This and the aforementioned gear is enough to do Black Sacraments on a High Elf sorcerer or necromancer. You still need to be careful but it still is quite easy to do these (or heists too) with this setup.

just devs trying to ruin stealth due to pvp whiners that dont understand it and if they played a NB for a bit would understand, it really doesnt tdo anything that an alalince health pot doesnt, infact the potion lasts 4 times longer, had heal and regen and immune to snare etc. for PvErs that dont really need it as if they are playing a NB with stealth in a trial or dungeon in a group - they fail already. in PvE you can drop stealth for more dps options or heals and utility

The biggest problem I have with this change is that shadow cloak now will be just way too costly to even use in basic PvE. I understand that the skill was abused to be able to use it almost unlimitedly, but this change just kills it entirely. Why run a skill that shuts down your mag recovery? Nightblades will just throw this skill in the pile of skills that their class kit calls garbage and never gets used. There will be more effective skills in their tooltip now that will be better than this skill. Let's take a hard look at nightblades class skills. What do they lack? They lack any group support and they lack a damage shield class ability. So now nightblades will just opt to use shade and a scribing skill that offers a damage shield and another heal. They will still be op with their insane evasion shade, scribing shields, and high burst with executes.

New player here, but not new to the mmo genre. Seems like the pvpers are crying a little to much and it sounds like they nerfed the ability for NB's. These are the most fustrating things that happen in MMO's, PVPer's are the reasoning that nerfs and buff happen. Instead of learning how to counter attack' it's easier to whine and get stuff nerfed and buff to their liking. Thus therefore hurting one class but buffing the others. Eventually people get sick of this shit and wind up quitting the game. Learned that for 14 years of PvPing in WoW. Anyways I was looking forward to making a stealthy/assassin type build, so I'm scrolling through videos to pick up some trick and tips. Good video mate!.../Cheers!

Hot take, they need to nerf incap/spec bow by 50% to bring it in line with other skills. Cloak is fine, i have never died from someone going invisible. I die to 30k incap +18k spec bow. Im not buildinh for 50k health to counter nb's. This is still the problem.

what are you talking about,i couldn't just spam shadowy,i could hit it around 5 or 6 times then that was it,not everyone was built for infinite spamming,after 8 years of being a nb that crappy toggle has ruined it for me,just makes it more confusing when in a fight and lag is involved,10 years and they change a very important skill because they feel like it, it completely messed up my muscle memory as it has many vet players, goodbye eso and the devs who are clueless
