So there I was, right; Logged into ESO for the first time in YEARS. I figure I'll go check out Elsweyr to see if it's any good. I'm walking around, generally enjoying the textures and characters. Then BOOM. I hear this angelic voice and beautiful song. I just kinda sat down there, in the middle of a bustling market area. That's how I knew I was back in Tamriel. The ability to get so lost in a simple side note of a massive game. Thanks for posting this video.

I logged in. I was a new player, playing off and on I get on, and hear her voice. I couldn't leave, I just had to stay and listen. I didn't even play the game that day, I went straight to KZbin looking for the song. I regret nothing

I joined ESO when Elsweyr came out since I had been an avid Khajiit player since Oblivion. Just HAD to see and experience the Khajiiti homeland. Over 600 hours later and I can safely say that 4/5ths of the game I’ve spent in Elsweyr. Aaaaand maybe one of those fifths was spent during late nights, just sitting on the bench in front of her, listening and memorizing her songs, then falling asleep in peace. It’s just one of the few places where I can get away from “real life” you know?

Not that I nitpick to this wonderful song... but how come Khajiit sings in 1st person and not "this one"? 😉

Song structure? “This one” and third person reference is simply cultural. But there are plenty of cases of Khajiit using first person.

It also rhymes in Tamrielic, and therefore presumably would not in Ta'agra- at least not a direct translation. Chances are the translator of the song in-universe took serious creative lyrics. At least, that's how I like to look at some of the more awkwardly phrased songs lol.
