iv switched a couple morphs for easier timers for myself and moved the rune to the front bar so i can use it again for longer empower upteam and im really enjoying this, i thought the damage was decent and survivability ok while running around doing overland, delves and world bosses but decided to give the dummy a hump and hit 62k which might not seem a lot to most people but thats my highest dps run ever so i was well happy with that so cheers again for the build and vid

I hit 23K. I feel awful. I will keep trying. Are you on PC? I have to use the xbox controller. with light attack weaves, I try to use a metronome at 55bps, making sure I have released the trigger for la and hit skill every beat. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong

This has been my main since I started playing ESO 3 years ago. I made a few changes as I really enjoyed a lot of the things from the previous build. I've removed bound aegis from the back bar and replaced with lightning flood, and I've put Scalding Rune on the front bar and replaced it with daedric mines, not as a spammable but for the passives. Placing Scalding Rune from front bar before heavy attacking means I have 100% uptime on Empower which is beautiful.

You should have 10p% uptime on empower anyway but if not, squeeze an inner light cast between a couple heavies once in a while. You have such sustainability you won't notice the cost and its easy to maintain without stressing on changes. But whatever works! Thank you and enjoy!

Wow what a build! I've tried to change it a bit and had some success! If your rubbish like me switch out orders for winters respite! With your staff dot down if helps you heal without the clanfear in tow, also if its a boss switch mages wrath out for revealing Flair for an extra 10% dam mit, with that and winters you can still pump out damage and heal with your shields up! Also I tried noble dualist along side with sergeant and its destroys adds and trash so quick! Might be the meta farming set up!

Would there be a benefit to run crystal weapons considering it buffs heavies? Like potentially taking the shield off the back bar, slotting hurricane there instead and have crystal wep where hurricane was ?

Honestly, that's probably worth trying considering it's also a minor prophecy proc. I'm curious how it would function front bar weaving HA with it the only issues i just thought of though is that you don't really wanna spend another gcd on backbar where possible. I wonder if mage's wrath is worth replacing since sorc execute isn't great anyway. Maybe keep hurricane front bar and replace mage wrath with crystal weapon. The other is stam usage -- we really don't have any good ways to get that stam back unless we went with crunchy spider skewer maybe?

Two questions: 1. Is this still pretty much the same build now in Firesong versus when you published this back during Lost Depths? Has the build changed up in any way? 2. Have you experimented with or looked into using the Devyric monster set with this build, since it boosts your heavy attack? No idea how it compares to Zaans. I know that I absolutely love Zaans and have used it loads for several months now, but I'm just getting into heavy attack Magicka builds, and Devyric looks promising but it would be nice to get some other perspectives before putting time and energy into getting and using it.

Wouldn't the 1 bar limitation wreck your usable skills though? With pets on both bars you really only have like 2 slots (plus surge)

Well, pets aren't used in this update of the build nor the mines.. surge only needed if you want heals (ring covers crit), then got the other buff (hurricane), scorching runes isn't necessary (ring has empower).. so 2 buffs, execute, unstable wall of elements and last one aegis or maybe trap + fighter's ulti for the passives from the guild.. Not sure, that's why I asked ^-^.. also I assume that lover would go better if using ring🤔

The ring has minor slayer too so one of aether bonuses would be wasted. Could use one of the undaunted sets.

I can't find a good reference where that +70% damage of heavy attack against off balance enemies is coming from. Is that just what the off balance status does? Also is anything proccing concussion as an AOE? The unstable wall ticks should only have about 2.6% chance per tick to trigger that as the LA and HA itself shouldn't be triggering concussion.

That was never one of the options, medusa was paired with Siroria previously. However i explained in the video any PREVIOUS setup will still "work" if you don;'t want to change anything but you will get very different results based on adapting to the new update and combat changes. Bare in mind if you try to do the NEW stuff with THAT setup you are trying to stack minor force when you cannot.

Great build! Tinkering with this to make a one-bar version with oakensoul, with different sets for single target and AoE. I was digging through HA-sets and noticed Storm Master is a thing, a dungeon set thats easy to get, and messing around in the build calculator it appears to scale its bonus with other damage buffs. Would Storm Master be viable for this build (probably with Sergeant's) and would it perform better or worse than infallible mage? Or even an intermediary option for players who can't get into vets and trials just yet. Eager to get your opinion on this, keep up the good work!

It doesn't perform better, but use whatever works for you. Just remember AI can be acquired on NORMAL as explained in the video. There is NO perfected version and you don't even have to kill the last bosses because you only need body pieces. All bosses but the last one, chests, and trash can drop everything you need ON normal.

There are non trial options in the video specifically the AOE variant, but remember EVERYTHING can be farmed on normal and since the trial stuff (while farming on normal) does not drop from the end boss you can take them on on normal difficulty with a smaller group (just a couple of the bosses drop what you need, no jewellery or weapons required) and then reset and go back in again on repeat till you have what you need. Depends on how well YOU can solo the content you are going up against. There is no WIN recipe for solo when the mechanics are on you, BUT yes this can hold it's own all day long :)

Probably...while sorcs are possibly the strongest heavy attack, I've always had heaps of fun and bucket loads of damage with dk and templar heavy attack builds using exactly the same set ups...even nightblade was ok too

Now we know that back barred MA weapons aren't maintaining their damage when on the front bar (until it gets fixed), how much will that impact this build?

Day ONE of the patch, PC hotfixes before console release come in fast, usually within a week. :)

Since we have to be in melee range for the Trap and Hurricane anyway, could BRP Dual Wield backbar work, replacing Hurricane with Deadly Cloak and swapping its place on the bars with Unstable Wall? Or 2H MA with Stampede analogue to as described before for Deadly Cloak? Stampede might also help get back into melee range when mechanics push you out. And speaking of group content, what would you recommend to provide Minor Prophecy? Swap out the Rune with Tomb and ask for Empower from the group via Necro, or swap out the Execute for Tomb instead? Or even one of the passive slottables (btw, why Inner Light and not Camo Hunter)? Also also, with the change to the Atro, would using the Atro be a worthy ultimate here even without Daedric Prey, just to get the synergy for the group? Sorry for so many questions at once, but unfortunately there aren't many spaces where theorycrafting HA builds is welcome. :)

But if you want to use the information in the video to influence your own build, by all means do so. A lot of what you are asking is in the video. However, the game is designed upon the foundation of choice, so make whatever choices work for you Just understand you will get VERY different results :)

Run it on NORMALY, there is ZERO benefit to running Vet if you are just looking for the gear. You can always upgrade it when you have it ;)

The good thing is you don't need the last boss (drops weapons and jewels) so you can just kill a couple of bosses, loot it, go out, come back in if you REALLY want to. Completing it is not the key, farming the right items is, and that CAN drop from trash too. Pick up groups are good and bad, you just got unlucky. It happens, even on live stream ;) You got this!

After coming back to this game 6 years later and jumping to pc now I tried a Stamcro build and i wasnt impressed. I remember being lvl 380s and doing Maelstrom Areas and being tanky not a squish ass melee range dummy. I keep hearing you need Ring of the pale order bla bla bla like im lvl 340cp im not even close to that kind of stuff. I missed the Duel pet necro potence build that i could solo anything even at a low lvl so yesterday i started over and god i miss this Sorc. You showed End Game build but do you have a beginners 1 and 2 setup before getting to engame trials stuff? Im thinking like Nirn jewelry and weps plus Maw and up in the air on the other 5 set. I have Aegis from the necro as well so when i get to 50 i can probably use all of that for now.

The reason theres no parse included is that these kind of heavy attack builds dont parse jackshit, sorc is pretty simple with an conventional meta build look one up and you will be hitting 120k+ after practising the rota with fully specced out gear

Wrathful Strikes vs Untamed Aggression? Wrathful improves skill damage (heavy attack is not considered a skill), Untamed improves EVERYTHING including your heavy attack damage. I thought the points was to boost heavy attack damage?

Light and heavy attacks count as "Damage abilities" the only difference is they are free ;) The difference is minimal but there IS a difference. The only thing wrathful strikes does NOT affect when it comes to stuff like that is HEALING abilities. Anything that does damage that you have to activate manually gains damage from it. Untamed aggression is spell/weapon damage throughout which DOES affect healing skills and damage combined.

@@xynodegaming Greetings! I appreciate the prompt reply and the explanation. I think I'll stick with the Untamed on necro to bolster the Spirit Guardian a bit. It is a bit disconcerting that the Wrathful node does not show up on the character sheet, nor does the Bloodthirsty so the player can visually verify that the increase is happening and being boosted by Major Sorcery/Brutality. But it is what it is. Thank you for your clarification.

​@@youtubeaccount159 You can easily verify it by not slotting the CP and heavying a dummy 10 times (to account for an average), then slotting it back again, hitting it 10 times and taking a note of the damage difference. You can't visually verify a lot of things in this game, but if you keep track of the numbers using an add-on (that is of course if you're on PC), it's not hard to theorycraft these things

before i could only do 45k dps parse on trial dummy, and that was after months of using the same build. with this build i did over 60k dps from the first try without having any idea what i was doing. amazingly fun build!

Shock and fire comes from the set regardless. They changed it a long time ago so both come out instead of specific.
