We need some of the world's billionaires to start funding more ALMA type projects instead of buying (or as well as buying) Premier League football teams! The pace of discovery would be massively accelerated with the funding made available from some of the super-rich. What about tax-breaks for funding science projects.

OK, glass half - empty guy here - They always talk about these exo - planets like they still exist intact. They can't be sure that they weren't pulled apart by the gravitational fields of their parent stars, or some other fate ages ago, yet they talk about them as if they're still in existence, present - tense. I guess they're just being optimistic.

+Daniel Appleton but we can see them? We found them because they are visible. It takes a long time for them to be pulled apart. I think there is a Jupiter sized one that orbits in a day that will take another million years.
