Aqua Regia is actually yellow/orange when dissolving gold. But many methods to produce the nitric acid use a copper compound. Copper salts are usually green in solution. So the green was almost certainly a trace copper contamination. If you go looking at aqua regia made with modern methods it's actually water clear (sometimes a bit brown or even red depending on how concentrated the nitric acid is). Once it starts dissolving the gold it forms chloroauric acid which is the yellow/orange color.

Assalarmu Aleykum, I find all of your videos to be very profound. Profound because I have always been plagued & fascinated with what I call THEE most important question in life, namely "What happens to a man after he dies?" However, for me to have a true appreciation of the knowledge embedded in your videos, such as the words/secret codes of the MANY rituals for various purposes, it seems to me that being learned in Hebrew & Latin is a prerequisite.As it stands now I have Spanish & to a lesser extent Arabic as secondary languages, but as time & opportunity permit I shall move on to the aforementioned languages, & perhaps even some Ancient Egyptian as well.Salaam.

In my studies, I have found that Kabbalah, along with most things alchemical, Pertain to life. Stepping stones to prepare for what is to come, that being death. Which, if prepared for properly is a transition. From one to the next. I realize you didn’t ask for my opinion but, just thought I’d throw in my two cents. Take it or leave it.
@ivornworrell3 жыл бұрын
@@1SunScope I take it thank you, but how can death be "prepared for properly" in order that it become a "transition from one to the next"? Because if this transition is going to be to a place OR state infinitely better than all the pain & sorrow in this present life, then there is absolutely no need to fear death!
@1SunScope3 жыл бұрын
@@ivornworrell Exactly! ThankYou for your sincere reply. A rare thing on the internet these days. Most argue, or are most likely to insult. I’ve studied martial arts and it’s philosophies/teachings for nearly 30 years. In my “wanderings” for Wisdom/Knowledge, Taoist priests speak of cultivating the baby within. There was a guy I heard speak once saying, “to meditate, is to cultivate the Soul. If you don’t cultivate the Soul. Then when you die, you become part of everything. Which is God.” I’m sure I’m paraphrasing, I don’t recall exactly. It was definitely along those lines though. I heard that nearly 10 years ago and sticks with me to this day. A good book (I’ve been meaning to re-read) ‘The Tibetan book of living and dying’ by: Sogyal Rinpoche, Gives specific accounts, and the different stages of death. I would enjoy going into more depth and detail, however I realize again, that we all have our own path and I truly hope you enjoy yours. Many blessings.

I am so ready for our deep learning and AI systems to not only be able to translate these works directly into English from Hebrew, Latin, Arabic and other languages but I would really love to see what a machine learning based system could do if it was trained on all the books of wisdom first before being set on other subjects. A kind of Full On Wisdom AI that is able to deduce the subtleties and blinds that could then align all the words into a functional wisdom resource like Google. We could call it Abba, after the deep wisdom of those great musicians and it will be be paired with Amma, a translational protocol that will help it interface back better with child systems such as the internet and such.

Hello Dr. Sledge. I know you are a busy scholar but I find there is so little information available on the internet related to magic and sorcery in the former Otoman Empire and the rest of the middle east in general. I recently saw this Turkish film called Siccin, in which a character performs a magickal curse using the normal tools such as blood ,hair , photo of the victim but also human bones and animal entrails. It also referred vengeful souls of departed Christians who hate Islam employed in it as well as djinns The movie also stated at the end that in the Muslim world magick is strictly forbidden but that doesn't stop so many to practice sorcery quite often. Do you have any insight on contemporary practices in the middle east?

You should do an episode on " The book of Abraham the Jew," this alchemical manuscript seems to be a copy of a manuscript that may have existed since the expulsion of the Jews from Israel by the Romans. It mentions the name of a physician in greek KARTANAEUS. I researched on this name and came to find that it resembled our sage of blessed memory Rabbi Hananiah and it was said on those days among the friends that he raised the stone of Jerusalem. You should also do an episode on all three alchemical books of Maria, Aesch Mezareph and the book of Abraham The Jew.. I am a Jewish alchemist and Ive kept myself as far as possible from idolatrous alchemical scaffolding. These are my 3 books as a pious Jewish man. These three books are pure non pagan alchemical books perfectly taylored for Judaism. The star of Jacob is the Philosopher's Stone. The Pure Soul of Malchut. The. Ashes of the red heifer. Non pagan Alchemy should return to Jewish culture again. Yours Truly Kabalalchemist Elijah
