This is the first time i, as part of the Jewish people myself, have the joy of listening to the stories and myths of the Israelite/Hebrews and Cnaanites. Its looking at it from a whole different perspective, i have looked into it as an interest but from a historical perspective, but this is so different than that. The line between Jewish mythology and Cnaanim is always a very thick one when seen by Jewish scholars, never learned about it in religion class with our Rav back when i went to jewish school. At least they had a council, In the religion i grew up with, there was a single entity, saying, there is only one, and whenever you look at another one, you are a sinner, what a jealous tyrant.from a psychological standpoint, Alukah could as well be a very famous Prostitute? If expensive enough, it might ruin ones life too when he becomes obsessed about her.(no disrespect, but i am not into mysticism, I try to find things rooted in daily lives across the globe, as all these "Gods, Demons, Angels and Devils" all seem a bit too HUMAN, to really stand out above or below human morality. Cruelty and Joy knows no boundaries, or borders. At least in my book about life,as i know it, or heard from others.

I would be interested in learning more about Asherah, or the Caanan belief system regarding the Wife of God that you referred to briefly in this video. Is that a topic you might be interested in covering in the future? I remember watching a documentary a long time ago (can't find it anymore) which talked about Asherah, archaeological figurines, the idea that Asherah in the Bible is converted into a wooden pole, or stick of some sort to diminish her role... but my memory has faded on the topic. Anyways, great work and look forward to watching more of your videos!

I'm interested in this too. The OT seems to document the destruction of her worship and her poles. And omg so much destruction of the Devine feminine. I was 16 when I read the OT and somehow it made me feel so sick and angry. I really think having a concept god the creator has pronouns he/him and he has no counterpart has to make treatment of actual women worse....but then Greeks and romans prove me wrong lol 😂
@Mr-E.
@Mr-E. 3 жыл бұрын
@@mistressofstones Good point! There are definitely a lot of male-centric themes in the OT that do not feel God-inspired. For example in Deuteronomy the idea of taking women as slaves after conquering enemies and paying her if you decide to leave her after intercourse because you took her virginity, or the idea that women can not be priests, etc. Reading the OT, I never felt like that was something from God, it felt more the thoughts of man, but hiding behind the idea that it was divine commands.

@эзотерика философия наука How does Lucifer the angel fit in with what you are saying? Also the fallen angels that were cast out with him? Also the story of angels who slept with women? What about in Daniel where a messenger angel explains that he was held for 21 days by the prince of Persia (commonly thought to be a spirit), but Michael the archangel came to help him. It seems there are instances in the Bible that angels and spirits can be malevolent, conspiring, lustful, vengeful, etc.

I think I'm starting to develop a rough picture of what might have been happening philosophically during the apocalyptic period based on what you've said in this and other videos. It seems as if this Chaoskampf period you refer to would have been a natural human response to natural phenomena which, in the light of developing social structures, would have been revealed to be profoundly chaotic and in need of "divine order" which would manifest as the social structures themselves. This worldview would have been revelatory and/or controversial to anyone who had not yet experienced such social structures and had more or less been living as hunter/gatherers. However, as a creative person, I have to consider what it would have felt like to be the first person to think of building a city. I have little musical concepts that hit my brain like lightning and it feels like a small mystical experience. I can only imagine what it would have felt like to have that idea hit my brain! If I had never heard of such a thing happening, I would assume that I had been struck with a divine vision and, having no concept of religion, would probably end up starting one to support my big idea. Fast forward to the apocalyptic period and the Chaos of nature is largely at bay, to the point that we don't even feel like writing about it much anymore. However, there are now suddenly other humans with a "divine order" of their own that somehow challenges what we previously thought was the only "divine order". This gets immensely confusing and we find ourselves in a position where, since these "divine orders" do not seem to fit into one another smoothly, one of them has to come out on top. Because familiar equals desirable in the human brain, the more familiar "divine order" became classified under this developing idea of Good whereas a relatively new concept that would eventually evolve into Evil arose as an attempt to explain the nature of this invasive foreign order that was not just natural Chaos, but still very much a problem, possibly more of a problem than Chaos was. In short, it sounds just about as confusing as 2021.

Since there was probably only a 'standard' version of the text very late this is unlikely. Even the Hebrew text of the Torah that was used for the Septuagint doesn't agree with the text as we have it and variations in spelling (plene vs 'defective') abound in the ms tradition. Also the vowel marks (along with other sigla, including other systems of sigla, like the Babylonian system) don't interfere with the consonantal text so much.

Hi I was wondering what your thoughts on this are. A European occultist I follow has linked coronozon 333 to a lot of the obsession in alternative movements to middle Eastern conflicts and that coronozon itself dislikes the Jews as the Kabbalah allows knowledge of binding these entities. Sorry if my question is impertenant or not very classy. I thought it was an interesting insight as I've noticed a lot of people in the west get consumed by the horrors that happen over in the middle East on both sides. A lot of these people seem very hateful and unwell.

Honestly, my parents are both Christians and they never made much mention of demons. In fact, the only memory I really have before my late teen years was just them telling me that a demon is an evil invisible being that tries to get people to do evil. They never mentioned specific names or anything cause theres's actually not really much specific demonology in the Christian Bible. And what is mentioned seems to be more of a spiritual metaphor than a tangible mythology. Christianity does have more metaphysical stuff going on than Judeism, but I found most of it to simply be more like quantum physics; it exists but it's vague and more meant to give context to our lives than to be something that keeps us up at night. That being said, I do enjoy learning about mythological personifications called "demons" as they cam make interesting learning tools and tales. Humans always like learning things from stories so I consider them informative, but not canonical. Also, I often intepreted the evil one of the New Testament to be the same person as the serpent in Genesis. Does this seem accurate?

I'd argue that they did based on the evidence in Job, and bits of deuteronomy. Rather the writers of the tanakh didn't include them.

It was the greek world that started the naming of good and bad elohim... Before Hellenism showed up to Israel, everything was just Elohim, no matter their motives or status including the Yod He Waw He. The Septuagint is the defining factor.

In the book of Cain where he Mary's Lilith he is described basically as a vampire and Lilith is described as a shapeshifter or basically a werewolf. Later when Jacob and Esau meet up on the road when Jacob's coming home is a bites his neck. God turns it to Ivory so that his teeth Don't penetrate but he did try to bite his neck. And he was described as a corruptor of men

The Manticore is found in Isaiah 9, where Israel is described as Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio. The preceding chapter eight ends with the word darkness, by which, as has often been seen, winter is meant. And though the people walked in darkness, they beheld a great light (the Sun); though they dwelt in the land of the shadow of death (winter), ' upon them hath that light (the new year's Sun) shined" (v. 2). "For their yoke (mid-winter) is broken and passed, and unto us a child is born; unto us a son (Sun) is given." "The government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful (phala), Counsellor, the Mighty Ram," etc., i.e., Samson, or the Sun, the Prince of Peace. "The Lord (Adoni) sent a word unto Jacob (spring), and it hath lighted upon Israel (summer). My reader must never confound the two Lords - Jahveh and Adoni - the first always representing summer, the last, winter. This Adoni is also Adonis who was gored by a black boar (winter) In the example before us, Adoni sent his word unto Israel; hence, the time was winter, when "the bricks (of the temple, or summer,) are fallen down "(v. 10)." Therefore, the Lord (Jahveh) shall set up the adversaries of Rezin (spring, i.e., the winter constellations will take their places above the equinoctial line,) and join his enemies," the summer and winter." Then, with the Syrians (spring) before and the Philistines (winter) behind " (both meeting at the spring equinox), Israel (summer) will be swallowed with open mouth, i.e., the summer constellations, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, will be, at the time spoken of, one-half above and one-half below the western horizon at sunrise, and exactly between spring and winter, "swallowed with open mouth " (v. 12). Hence it happened that the Lord (Jahveh) cut from Israel both head and tail (Leo and Scorpio), branch and bush (Virgo and Libra), in one day = the equinoctial of spring. Leo is the ancient and honorable; Scorpio is the tail, is the liar, or rather, the father of lies = Satan (v. 15). The time being spring, the Lord (Adoni) has no joy in their young men (the first days of the season). Wickedness (winter) now burns as the fire burns thorns and briars, and is consumed (v 18). "Through the wrath (heat) of the Lord (Jahveh = summer) is the land darkened," i.e., when summer passes, winter succeeds; when no man shall spare his brother "(v. 19). As savages, men shall snatch on the right hand and on the left, and still go hungry. "Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm," - each furnishes for himself both meat and drink. Manasseh (winter) shall be against Ephraim, the one supplying flesh, the other fruit; both, however, are against Judah (spring), which furnishes the cereals = bread.

@TheEsotericaChannel

2 Samuel 21:19 notes that Goliath was killed by "Elkhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, the Bethlehemite" and it appears that this was the original story with a later redactor, probably someone like D, giving the credit to David, hence the propaganda part. Kinda a joke, but yeah, in the original story David didn't kill Goliath.
