Sound is produced courtesy of the EMG 81-7 and 707 active hum-buckers which are managed by a 3-way selector switch and a Master Volume and Master Tone control.

The whole thing is good, but I was really impressed as soon as he started playing slowly. Lots of people work on speed and nothing else, but this guy has the tone to back himself up. Impressive, sir.

dude the 25.5 scale is not a problem, I own the h-308 an 8 string very similar to this one, and let me tell you the 7th string 0.064 has perfect tension. The 8th string as well

Got this guitar yesterday. The louder you turn up the amp, the more punchy and brutal it is. I love it. Only question I have is both knobs control each other. You cant have one tone knob already set low for clean, and the other knob tone turned up for dirty and switch back n forth with your toggle switch like you can on most guitars. You must have a foot switch to go back n for from clean to dirty unless you manually reach down and turn the knob down perfectly at the speed of lightning. I don't know why they made it to where each knob cant individually have its own volume control. That is a disappointment to me.

Seems like a great guitar, the only thing that's annoying me is the darker spot on the wood around 19th fret under the second string :P I know it's picky but now that I know its there it's really bugging me lol

wow nice!!!! I just bought this one for 170 plus tax today...compared it to the ibanez 8 but this stayed in tune nicely and had a fuller tighter sound. U also got a mel 9 pedal and a synth 9 pedal, being a composer and someone who likes metal and classical...
