@Raya-bx5blАй бұрын
Thank you so much for your informative video! This is what I have gathered about your tips: 1. “I want to create a scholarship fund/ nonprofit/ charity for myself” 2. Send the person on the selection committee a thank you note 3. Address your financial situation e.g. medical expenses, death in the family, etc… 4. Mention your trials to your triumphs: your personal growth 5. Write about your major and career goals and why you are inspired to go into the field, and simplify your terminology 6. Mention what you have done so far to get to your career goals, like: Volunteering, leadership experiences, and course work (if you don’t have internship experience) 7. How receiving the scholarship will help you! Sound humble and not entitled 8. Your life goals.m, ex) traveling 9. Your community involvement relating to your life goals, and include 10. Leadership position and leadership roles and be specific and what the role does and how it ties in to the scholarship 11. Who inspired/ motivated you? And include a quote that ties into the things you are involved in that pertain to the theme of your essay 12. I think I missed one, so please watch the video!

Hello! I am just wondering if perhaps, my letter of intent for a scholarship can be written in a creative way? Or should it remain formal and be written professionally? I just thought that maybe making my letter of intent in a creative way will make my application stand out from other applicants, but it can also be the reason for my application to be rejected if it might not be the right way to write the letter of intent. Thank youuu~

Anyone else feel like they are never going to win the career goals essay type scholarship because of your major? It’s my dream to go to film school and work as a director/producer, but if I write about that I feel like i will seem self absorbed lol and chances are theres someone else with a more academic/meaningful major who writes about how they want to go to med school and cure cancer or feed starving children in other countries and they will probably give the scholarship to them ig.

How would you go about maintaining humbleness when the topic of the scholarship essay is why are you the most deserving?
@ESPDaniella4 жыл бұрын
For this, try and use still sound humble and indirect as to why you deserve it (perhaps even use reverse psychology). I did this for my other video of where I read the essay that got me a scholarship from Future, the rapper. It was within the very last paragraph of my essay in that video!

What are the best ways to find these not-so-well-known scholarships?
@ESPDaniella4 жыл бұрын
Nearly half of the scholarships I won (about 11) were from ones that my counselor at my high school as well as during college told me about via email. Also, it helps to stay connected with people in your local community because not all scholarships have a website to let you know that they even exist. The only way of knowing sometimes is by word of mouth.
