Mesmerizing, so beautiful! I trust Abbey is smiling with her song treated so lovingly in Esperanza's hands.

I saw Ms Esperanza yesterday (05SEPT) at "TOKYO JAZZ 2015". I was very much impressed by her incredible bass playing, singing as well as hot & spicy instrumental interplay with guitar & drum. Though I largely scoped Jack Dejohnette trio on same day of the LIVE program, I was so much knocked down by her & her splendid performance. Good meeting with her !!

This is amazing. I just recently turned myself on to Ms Lincoln and was truly amazed by her. Love finding great things out about my people! I have loved Ms Spalding for a number of years (I'm not a bass player but I definitely respect it.) as well and was fortunate to see her in concert. This was a match made in heaven, in my book.

Anyone with this talent will get gigs my friend... maybe your other 'much better sounding' musicians aren't that great after all... What sex changes are doing here in your remark is a question to me, but I'm sure an 'earchange' could help you :)

Unique artists find that genres are rather a binding definition, besides, if i want real jazz i know where to look. You'll only get frustrated when talent refuses categorization. Esperanza alludes her neutrality to mixed identities brought about by her heritage (she's from different cultures). please listen to this interview.paste this in you-tube search duiDsimsJLk

So many great musicians in the world scuffling for gigs and we're presented with this? How the hell is this gonna save the art form? Just one chick who can play, she ain't that heavy. Pop crossed over into jazz and everyone brought the hype with it.

OK,she's great, but what about the rest of the world's musicians who can't get a gig who sound much better? Do they all need sex changes and shit or what?
