The national media is more than glazing over Boston, they are also cupping their nether regions. Thanks to that predictability toward 5 cities and ignoring the rest of the cities with Professional teams, podcasts like yours were able to grow and have better quality than ESPN ever could. Tough conversation, Celtics definitely have the best starting 5 in the NBA with a potential sixth man of the year. They may not be as good as the Kevin Durant Warriors, hell not even the 2016 Warriors, but the competition that they’re facing (Knicks, Cavs, Magics etc) is also not as good as the Warriors comp in 2016 (Cavs, OKC) Evan Mobley has taken a leap from fringe all-star to an all-star in my opinion. I think he needs to take another leap into fringe superstar territory for the Cavs to overtake the Celtics as currently constructed. Even if this doesn’t happen, the Cavs still have a chance to win a series against them, the best chance in my opinion.

I just don’t get the Knicks or Magic takes. They simply don’t have the firepower needed to keep up with the Celtics imo atleast. The Knicks I could see more than the Magic… the Magic would get run off the court I think the Cavs have a prayer because they have the offensive weapons to compete and make it a game. Also a lot of the Cavs notoriously play very well against the Celtics (Levert, Mobley, Strus, Wade and Mitchell)

knicks defence and magic offence will lose them the series. you need to be a an elite offence and defence to win a championship in the nba. otherwise you’re losing to the celtics, cavs or thunder. you need an unselfish offensive identity, multiple creators on the floor at all times and a plethora of efficient shooters in order to beat those teams in a series. knicks only have two legit offensive creators, never mind the fact that they have the worse defence of all these top seed teams. KAT has been neutralized in the playoffs before… whats their answer if he’s averaging 16 ppg against the celtics? on the flip side, orlando got a superhuman performance out of paolo last playoffs and still couldnt find ways to score. since that series ended, cavs found a way to become an elite offence. darius garland and evan mobley have emerged as serious downhill threats that collapse defences. the magic havent yet. if they were to meet up again, we can bet on darius garland, evan mobley, franz wagner having better series. but while we can bet on the cavs system generating better offence for the supporting cast, we cant do the same for the magic. they’ll end up losing the series again

Cavs were missing Okoro in Boston and lost, Celtics were missing Brown and White when they lost in Cleveland. We cant compare Okoro to Brown, but Okoro is part of a team played basketball. I dont care if Brown was the MVP of the finals, the Cavs are a cohesive unit and strive when healthy. If we stay healthy, we can take Boston down IF we are the #1 seed.

Cavs fan here the two small man back court will likely get us out the first or second round this year. The Cavs doesn't even have a legit wing that can dribble the ball and score. Our so called wing size are 6'4 or 6'5. Although Garland is doing good this year his size is a HUUUUUGE disadvantage in a seven game series vs Magic, Knicks, Heat and Celtics. Cavs still struggle with tall athletic wings. Trade Garland for Herb Jones, Jermi Grant or Cam Johnson
