I just watched this last night, after being a huge fan of sports & inspiring stories like this I'm quite embarrassed for not knowing about this while it happened. I couldn't agree more with Mr Polian that if Brandon lived he would've been just another offensive lineman & would've just washed through our consciousness like most of the others . Sometimes in life, death & loss is a stark reminder that we must give it our all everyday because it can all end in a split second !!

He was headed home to take his mom to church. I think about how excited his mother must have been to show off her son to her friends and how proud Brandon must have been. Just kicked off a very exciting season in his life and then tragedy struck. As heartbreaking as it is, it does put things in perspective. Sports, money and fame are meaningless in the long run. Knowing christ and having a relationship with our creator is all that matters. I'm thankful God used this man's platform as a way to speak to his children. Rest easy big fella.

Studios don’t make big budget movies where a straight, white, Christian male is the protagonist. Add to that he’s a jock - in Hollywood jock = bully.

Im glad they all turned their noses up because they said the family would have no say in the movie. It eventually got produced by a native Arkansan who was devoted to get the movie made right. I agree Daniel. I’ll say this... it was an incredible story about an incredible person, but the movie was horribly put together. The acting was hard to watch. Very cheesy lines made it feel like a B movie. I’m guessing they had a limited budget which explains the poor acting. Disappointing, because they could have done soo much better with this inspiring story.
