If it were up to this guy, the Pats would become the Jets, getting their "franchise QB" every three years and wondering why he didn't pan out...again. You have to build a team. Plus, all of these mediots are forgetting the elephant in the room which is the new non-tackling rule. The running game and short passing game are back while the erratic, big-armed QB is less valuable than ever.

Pointing out problems or issues a QB has isn’t blasphemy because they aren’t gods. Their future isn’t written in stone. If it was Mitch Trubisky would have been a success already. He put up better numbers than Maye his last year and was selected 2nd overall. He had a strong arm and was mobile. He was from UNC.

I hope my broncos do the smart thing and pick the best player available at 12. Let the qb hype get my team a player that should have been picked several picks earlier.

There are at least four types of arcs or hypothetical futures for QBs: a) non elite qb drafted in the right situation - Brock Purdy b) possible elite qb drafted in the right situation but fails - Trey Lance c) solid qb drafted into a bad team - Bryce Young, seems to have failed d) elite qb drafted to a bad team, but his greatness transcends a bad roster - Payton Manning (who threw many INTs as a rookie) Variables: skill set, fit (scheme and coaches on team drafting), psychological makeup and intelligence and work ethic QBs get ruined when drafted to a bad team unless you are P Manning Conclusion; Drake Maye may fail with NE (maybe not) but will almost certainly succeed if drafted by Minnesota

Any QB drafted by NE or NYJ and pushed into starting will fail. They don't have enough tools to have success!
