I think the Vikings may very well surprise a lot of these supposed 'experts'. As far as I can tell, with the additions, and banking on QB working out, They are far more competitive than they were last year and are given credit for!

Before I look at the rankings I’ll give my opinion. I’d put the Vikings around 20 or so in the rankings. The Vikings will have a disadvantage of playing in what could be a very tough division. What I’m interested in is how strongly the Vikings close out the season. I’d say the three biggest concerns we have are interior defensive line; interior offensive line; and quarterback. It’s possible that quarterback might turn out pretty well with Darnold and McCarthy. The other two concerns seem like they were only addressed late in the draft. I’d guess the Vikings finish an encouraging 8-9 or there about if their quarterback play is sound.

Can't be worse than last year if we can keep a starting QB healthy, even if that QB isn't a world beater. Last year we were on like QB4-5 at various points.

As usual, these rankings are based on last year's performance of each team, it doesn't matter at all. But I do think the Cardinals will be a surprise team this season, along with our beloved Vikings.
