His Cup Winners Cup and UEFA Cup victories came in 1997 and 1998 respectively. One of his Ballon D'r wins came in 1997 and 2 out of his 3 FIFA World Player of the Years came in 1996 and 1997. And his World Cup performance in 1998 was great as well. So yeah he should be behind Luis Suarez for players in the 21st century. If it was the 90s, definitely top 2. I don’t like these lists because players around the 3rd-10th range are usually great players obviously but trophies carry their status rather than ability. Like Zidane is obviously great but is he really the greatest number 10? I’ve seen better dribblers than him in that position and much better goal scorers, feel like World Cup performances gives him a better legend status than he possibly deserves

I find most of the best players to be ones people don’t talk about as much, I’m a huge fan of Di Maria, Coutinho, Alexis Sanchez, Payet, Higuain and the like. Most people talk highly of them but they don’t get very far on lists like this, I feel like if some of these guys had 40+ career trophies they’d be up there absolutely.

Im sorry but none of those players outside of Di Maria (whos only there for his clutch finals goals) are even sniffing the top 40. Coutinho flopped, Payet is mediocre, Sanchez had like 2 good seasons. Higuain is simply worse than strikers like Suarez, Benzema etc.

Kaka at 18 is not too low, injury ruined what he could of been, the list is a career average not just their best season, lewandowski is one of the best goal scorers we’ve had, kaka had a few good seasons for Milan, nick stick to basketball

Ronaldinho is very good and I love him but his goal scoring record was not that good, I think the most he ever scored in a season is less than 19 goals. That’s not bad at all but some people call this guy the 3rd best footballer of the past 90 years. For an elite number 10 you kinda expect better
