I think you are absolutely correct in that the passing game this season was the primary part of the offense that was working. Unfortunately, we often didn't see a pass-heavy approach until after the predictable run-heavy approach had failed miserably, time was running out, and Arthur Smith finally allowed Russell to pass the damn ball. I think one of the main priorities this year should be building a strong, competent Offensive-line, one that will open up the possibility of a run game, and one that will create proper pass protection.

@WadeWisdom How do you really protect an old ass qb who at this stage can't get out of his own way. He takes sacks like you breathe. He is short and can't throw over the middle. The one thing he had in Seattle other than a very strong defense, was his ability to scramble to make plays. Those days are long gone because he LACKS the ability to scramble anymore. That is why he takes so many sacks. Russ was NEVER a pocket passer. To short. He barely played under center, due mainly to his height as a very short QB. At 36, Russ is no longer cooking. At this stage, he is cooked. Seattle knew it, Denver found out and the Stealers just experienced what those teams already knew...Russ is cooked. When someone shows you who they are, believe them. Don't find excuses.

The pass game was working before we kept going to the run. Either quarterback, though, will get just get us to 500 again. Which means another number 19 or 20 draft pick. We should probably get rid of both of them and just pick somebody up to fake like we’re trying. We need a top 10 pick, period.

Bringing back Russ is a good move. An even better move would be to FIX the O-and D-Lines. They both fell apart completely in the latter 1/3rd of the season, and in the process they made Wilson look a lot worse than he actually is. People....Russ is not the problem in Pittsburgh. Steelers need 3 legit WRs. Period. Our Dline, Oline, LBs CBs are more than capable. The problem is we don't score points. The most important position in football is WR. How do I know? Because all the teams in contention to win a superbowl upgraded in 2 positions. WR and RB. Cheifs got DHop, Bills got Amari Cooper, Texans got Stephon Diggs. Then look at the good teams around the league what do they all have ELITE WRs. Rams, Buccs, Lions, Eagles, Vikings, Bills, Cheifs, Bengals, Texans, Packers, Seahawks. Steelers are the only team trying to win with 4 special teamers at WR. It's absurd.

My bold predictions are that they get a guy in free agency to replace Pickens. I believe that they will trade Pickens away. Some teams really need a talented WR right now and some that will need one. I think that we could end up getting as much as a late first round pick for him. On top of that, I also think that we get a starting RB in free agency. Not a big name like Nick Chubb. But a young guy coming off their rookie contract that won't be resigned from their current team. He wont necessarily be a superstar but will probably be better for us, especially after we finish up our o-line in the draft. A guy with starting experience that is likely to sign a 3 year contract for somewhere in the range of $15-18 mil total. Some thoughts on specific players are that we end up getting Tee Higgins. Apparently Burrow wants to keep him. But you can't afford to keep Chase and Higgins when you're also paying Burrow. And the name that I can imagine us getting at RB is Javonte Williams. This way, we can invest in the o-line, probably early and get a good change of pace RB in either round 4 or 5.

Damn, booo if this true. Russell Wilson 5 game into playoff slide I humbly say was not just some fluke or run of bad luck. Even if say the OL makes a jump next season I humbly say things like his offense read isn't fast enough anymore, he will still miss open receivers to often. While I realize they say it wasn't a big part thru his career or even in his best years in Seattle he not throw/read enough to hit the middle. You can say some or in part was some of the play-calling but it was to much of all or nothing with throwing the long ball or throwing up in the air and hoping. Yes still some good touch on those throws, still more then Fields, but can't have that being how offense try to stay on the field and win games. I thought after the fast start okay well this be a cool kinda of fairy-tale situation, the aging former Super Bowler/franchise QB/some say Hall of Famer with a last hurrah. Funny how the black QB gets more criticism than the white QB Guy goes to more SBs than Brees, Rodgers, Stafford, Rivers, Marino, Romo, Luck or Palmer but he's a bum. Guy wins a SB that white QBs never won, He's a bum. Guy throws for 350 TDs, only topped by 11 other QBs and he's a bum. Guy is only guy eith 45,000 yards passing, 350 TD passes, 380 total TDs and 5000 rushing yards and he's washed up. Russell Wilson is black, has faced jealousy from his first day in the NFL and white QBs who have done less doesn't get his scrutiny.

it wasn't just that he could not get the ball to them Russell Wilson is not the quarterback they need. And yes they need another quality number, one wide receiver and a good wide receiver out of the draft I mean look at the way the quarterbacks played the last five games of the regular season and the playoff loss they sucked. Terrible play calling. Missed open receivers. Couldn't check down properly. They need an overhaul on the offense far as wide receivers and quarterbacks
