As an Alabama fan who was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, I think that the SEC's reign of dominance that lasted 25 or 30 years is over and the B1G is once again the kings of College Football. The B1G has tv deals with three different networks, a footprint in major US Cities (NYC, DC/Baltimore, Philly, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, and LA), and clear definitive tiers in the B1G. The SEC has one source of income (ESPN/ABC), not many markets that are either major markets, long established markets, or traditionally tied to the conference markets (Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, New Orleans, Nashville, Orlando, St. Louis, Tampa), and no clear top teams in the league as everyone had at least 2 losses by Championship Sunday.

As a proud member of the Therapy Wanting Lunatic Fringe, I am happy and grateful to God that our players stood up and took control of their destiny to make this run and win it all. Their last 4 games were the most impressive strings of victories I have witnessed in 55 years of watching Buckeye football, especially after losing to Michigan! And, it is great that our genius coaches finally got their heads out of their behinds and got out of the way, by finally ceasing the reliance on the stupid zone blocking schemes that our big guys have not been able to consistently execute for years under Day. That being said, as we go forward I would love to see Day go on to a level of greatness that exceeds Sabin.

Who do you think is responsible for Ohio State having more talent?Do you think the coach has anything to do with that? And don’t tell me NIL - every team in the country funneled millions of dollars to their players, many of them more than OSU, it’s just that the AD at Ohio State was the only one to pit a number out there. Freeman is doing great things at Notre Dame, but there is no gutantee that his style would automatically be successful at Ohio State.

this 12 team playoff season could have looked much different and more detrimental to college football. If OSU beats Michigan, they had the potential to play Oregon three(3) times in one season. At the end of the third qtr, it was obvious to me that running right at Michigan's def big line was insane. Unless someone was playing to lose. The players sensed it, and therefore the big meeting the following week. If the championship game is Oregon vs OSU for a 3rd time in one season, TV ratings suck and the average fan maybe not tuning in. IMHO someone played to lose the big rival game, and only was other person had to be in the loop...a mediocre place kicker or his holder!
