This team was not only beating but DESTROYING the top teams in the East and West when they were healthy in the month of January. If Julius Randle were playing in these playoffs, I'd give the Knicks a good shot at beating Boston, THAT is how good this team is, and pretty much nobody other than Bogdanovic is over the age of 30. This team has miles left on it, clean books, and all their first rounders and then some.

The only two guys on the team drafted by the Knicks now (Mitchell Robinson and Deuce McBride) were 2nd round picks. That 94 team still had a #1 overall pick in Patrick Ewing, and that 99 team was practically bought ground up.

If Draymond Green said that the Knicks are a fluke as of right now with their depleted team, I would respect that more than saying the Knicks run is a fluke because they beat the 76ers and Pacers. We saw the Knicks have a 30 point lead vs the Celtics with their REGULARS in April and easily won that game. The Knicks also had a 36 POINT WIN vs the 76ers with Embiid. Everybody were hyping up the 76ers right before the playoffs too. The Knicks are 7-3 vs the 76ers this season. Lets not forget the almost 40 point win over the Nuggets! It is foolish to believe that the West teams are so beyond the Knicks. The Knicks were 1-1 vs the Wolves and they lost by 1 point vs the Thunder in their last matchup. I know Stephen A Smith don't remember those game because he only watched the Knicks once they got into the playoffs. Perkins actually watched the Knicks all throughout the regular season and he knows what they are about. We all remember Brunson scoring 34 points with NO OG in the game and getting the 7 point win over the Warriors where Draymond Green scored 2 points on March 18th @ golden state too..... Stephen A. in a way it is a fluke. the 76ers were hobbled and should’ve shut down Embiid for the season while the Pacers beat a Bucks team without Giannis for the series and Dame for the final games. the Pacers shouldn’t even be here and will get swept. the Eastern Conference is NOTHING like the West this year. the Miami Heat proved how weak the East was last year and thought they could slack in the regular season to go to the conference finals again: only problem is they have injuries. the Knicks and Thunder should NOT go big fish hunting like Perk said and NOT go for a superstar as you don’t NEED one. they don’t need KD or LeBron or Mitchell like SAS been hoping for. and hey SAS, you’re playing a team who has ZERO CHAMPIONSHIPS!! THE PACERS!!

Oh stop it, Embiid was just fine. Dude was dropping 50, 34, 29, 39, 27, during that series. The rest of the team didn't show up except for Maxey. That was the reason the 76rs lost, don't believe what these sports analysts tell you, they embellished Embiids injury because it would've made it a better story if they won, but unfortunately for Philly the Knicks were just better. Now the media is flipping it and saying Knicks won because Embiid was "INJURED." Knicks came in without their 2nd best player and have been plaqued by injuries as well, so just stop it. The narrative went "Knicks don't have a chance against Philly with a 100% or 50% Embiid" too "Oh the Knicks got lucky because Embiid was hobbled" make up your mind.

A 14-2 record in January with massive wins over the fully healthy Nuggets, 76ers, and Timberwolves (when Brunson, Randle, and OG were playing) massively begs to differ. So does their current run (potentially to the conference finals) in spite of missing so much talent. The Knicks are 100% legit and they've not only earned the right to be #2 in the East, but when even remotely healthy, they're probably a top 5 team in the NBA as a whole.

As a Knicks fan, I feel Stephen As pain. Even when we're doing well, it's hard to get too excited because of all the heartbreak we've experienced. Add to that the fact that I'm also a Mets and Jets fan 😢
